         <description><![CDATA[<div>The British and French  navy launched a naval attack on the Ottoman Empire at the Dardanelles strait in Turkey on February 19, 1915. </div><div>On March 28, 1915 Allied Ships entered the strait, but mines destroyed three ships and damaged others. <br>On April 25, 1915, the allies launched a land invasion of the Gallipoli peninsula.</div><div>After losing lots of troops, the allies decided to evacuate on December 7, 1915. The final troops left on January 9, 1916. </div><div><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>
