Some might argue that they should wake up earlier so they don't become late but not all students have a car or have their permit. Many students take the bus and it can't be their fault that they're late. I'd recommend getting more teachers involved so at least everyone will have 5 minutes to themselves before getting to class. Some might say that students should just wear more layers but then you'd have to carry/wear it with/on you all day. It's not a fun time when you didn't do anything to begin with and having to be "punished" for something that you're not responsible for.
