a) Problem : improper disposal chemical waste
Example: The farmer uses fertilizers, pesticides and releases animal waste to the river.
-It induces eutrophication which causes excessive growth of algae and phytoplankton.
-The bacteria will consume all oxygen and the fishes cannot live, thus creating a dead zone.

b) Solution
- You can practice gardening by following organic gardening methods in your own garden by searching the methods from 'nature path organic' site through google.
-Organic gardening is gardening without synthetic chemical pesticides and herbicides. 
-To make up for the nutrient gap, organic gardeners can apply fertilizers derived from natural sources such as animal manures and byproducts, natural deposits such as rock phosphate, and plant products like seaweed and wood ash.

- As a student, you can register for sustainability, issues, challenges and prospect subject as to gain the awareness and knowledge about protecting the ecosystem.
