Russel accepts the new friends, and wants to keep Kevin(the bird), and Dug(the dog). They rescued Kevin from being caught, and Dug helped. Russel learns his lesson, and sadly has to let Kevin go, but keeps Dug as a pet. Another thing to add is about how use it is for the young gen to teach the old gen since the world is already filled with such technology. I am glad they can go the easy way and not get tired at all. Technology is all around us, and it is useful now the pandemic (covid 19) is around, so that the older gen can understand the buttons and controls of a google meeting and not getting confused with the mute button.
