Also, the use of graphics are very complex as they extend the meaning of the text.

This book is about a lonely piece of bread looking for a partner to play soccer with, but everybody he encounters is too busy with something else. It is a heart-warming tale about friendships and foods. This book can be read aloud to a first grade classroom to express the importance of being a friend and what it means to be a friend. The use of graphics in this book are exceptional as they are real life, yet personified, foods. The complexity of the graphics is slight as they are used to support the text.

The Wonderful Things You Will Be by Emily Winfield Martin

This inspiring rhythmic rhyme book encourages young children to be kind, clever, and bold, to take care of the small, and to help things grow. It expresses all of the loving ideas that parents see in their children. This book can be read to children of all ages, but I believe reading this to infants or toddlers would encourage them to be their best selves. Also, this book can be read to preschoolers to introduce rhyming words which follows the TNELDS four year old standards. The life experiences of this book are slightly complex as it is common every day that parents love, support, and encourage their child every day.
