My birthday is coming up, and I boldly asked my boss for a gift. He responded, ‘Name it, what do you want?’ I told him that the best gift he could give me would be to come and join me for one church service, which would only take about an hour and a half. He laughed and said, ‘Sure, I’ll come with you.’

Help in Secret

I came to work earlier than usual and felt led by the Spirit to clean my colleague's table as a form of "secret worship." I thought he wouldn’t notice, but it just so happened that our cleaner was also absent that day.

He then asked me, “Did you clean my table?”
I smiled and asked, “Huh? Why?”
He laughed and said, “I was wondering why my table was extra clean today, but Fares told me Ali’s not here.”

I just laughed and shrugged. Then he jokingly said, “Mabrook! Okay, from now on, as long as you’re here, always clean my table, okay?”

We all laughed at the office. Haha — secret revealed!

This week, prayerfully until tomorrow, I've shared encouragements and uplifiting words to my colleagues. It's been a tiring week since we just came back to school, giving out positive comments truly uplifts their tired souls.

Please pray that tomorrow, I will have the opportunity to open up about starting a short devotion with my colleagues during our lunch break. 🤗

"How are you?" is a common greeting in the office. It can be a cultural thing I'm already used to when all they actually want to hear is a plain, "good thanks"!

I always find it difficult to be vulnerable with people I’m not close with. But I took a chance and it paid off! Sharing a little bit of myself led to them doing the same, proving that vulnerability begets vulnerability.

This simple act resulted in us exchanging personal numbers, which shows how far a small step can go. There’s still a lot of progress & improvements along the way. But a start is a start! 🙏🏻
