This activity gets students talking to each other, discussing strategies and working together to complete a single task. We felt like this activity could be extremely beneficial in establishing a positive group work culture within a classroom.

We had thoughts about the game not being a possibility for a kindergarten group. We also thought about the possibility of students becoming too competitive and showing negativity towards those who might be slower than the others (even after understanding the strategy). We ultimately thought that this could still be a valuable moment to talk about group work and how it shouldn't be a competition but more of a chance for everyone to work together regardless of how fast or slow they are.

Marshmallow and toothpick challenge: they must create the tallest, largest, or most creative structure in a set amount of time, each member taking turns doing the actual building.
Minefield: Arrange an obstacle course and have students take turns navigating the "mine field" while blindfolded, with only their teammates to guide them.
Sneak and peek: One person from each group comes and takes a peek at the structure- they have ten seconds to look at it and memorize it. The team member will have to explain the structure to the others so that they can recreate it. If they don't get it right, another member from the team can go and take a peek at the structure and go back to help the others.
