Alfred Binet: Created the first practical intelligence test (Binet-Simon Scale) goal was to identify those student who needed help in school.
Lewis Terman: Created the first American intelligence test; educational psychologist. Terman studied the kids with high intelligence.
William Stern: coined the term IQ (intelligence quotient)
LL Thurstone: Created standard deviation around the 7 primary mental abilities; developed the mean and standard deviation for IQ scores, quantify and measure what IQ is.

Like the quote "you cannot judge a fish on it's ability to climb a tree", which is so true because not everybody can do anything but everybody can do something.

What end of the spectrum does Kim belong?

I think if we are speaking about the autism spectrum then he is in the middle because he is not completely high functioning or not completely low functioning. I think he is highly intelligent and he can do things that many many many other people cannot do.

My mom had a student with Savant syndrome who was very low functioning and had little to no social skills but could draw beautiful pictures, completely astonishing. Another case was a girl named Angela who had no social skills and was severely mentally disabled bu could put a 1000 piece puzzle in less that 10 minutes, she would never guess the wrong piece. Every puzzle piece she would pick up would be the exact piece she was looking for.

For Kim, low or high intelligence?
Kim cannot do mathematical problems. I think he has multiple intelligences because no one person can be defined by one form of intelligence. He does not have mathematical intelligence but he has linguistic intelligence. 

-of course there is no right answer but it is what you think.
