They are talking about what Connor can do because he is being unwound. They decided to run away together. When Connor goes home he talks to his parents. He has been torturing them silently by doing good things to make them regret their decision. He found out he was being unwound without them knowing. He found tickets his parents bought to bring them and his little brother to the Bahamas. When he didn't see one for him he went looking deeper, then he found his unwind paper. An unwind paper cannot be taken back once submitted, so he was gone for good. That night Connor goes to Ariana's house to run away. She tells him she doesn't want to anymore because she still has her life and other stuff going on. He leaves on his own and goes to a truck rest stop. He almost gets caught by a cop but a trucker saves him. This nice trucker gives him a ride, but when he wakes up the trucker is being handcuffed and Connor's with is waiting for him with the cops. Connor won't sleep with Risa in a smaller room out of respect which is nice. Mai, Connor, and Hayden gather around a candle, their makeshift campfire. They tell the story of Humphrey Dunfee. His parents unwound his then wanted him back so they went around steal his body parts back. The next day Sonia calls them up the stairs individually and tells them they are being picked up the next day by the icecream man. She makes each kid write a letter to someone they love. Connor writes to his parents and gets really emotional about it. Risa convinces Connor that she doesn't like him and is only doing it to have Roland on a leesh. A work call happens and people start to leave. After work call Roland comes up and talks to Connor. He plants the idea in Connor's head that the Admiral is unwinding kids to give himself new parts. Lev returns with a shipment of kids and Connor punches him and hugs him. The Admiral calls Connor in to fix his coffee maker. It wasn't actually broken and he just wanted Connor to talk to him. He tells Connor that he hasn't been unwinding kids and that his perfect teeth and dentures. They go to the FedEx plane and the Admiral shows Connor that the Goldens were murdered like the five kids that suffocated on the way here. Connor takes a post in the recreation jet to fix things and eavesdrop. Roland starts a rumor that the Admiral is going to steal Emby's hair. The Admiral explains the Heartland war to Connor. Unwinding was originally a joke that they were using to snap the two sides back to their senses but they actually liked it.
