We had to be at school at 6:10am and the bus left at 6:30 am. We drove three hours till we reached the airport in Vienna.

After the security and passport checks we entered the plane. In the the plane it was surprisingly comfortable. The flight took about 3 hours. During this flight we listened to music, watched films, read books or drew something. So the time passed very fast. After landing we were looking for our luggage. As everyone finally found their luggage we went straight to the bus which drove us to the meeting point. There our host family was already waiting for us and gave us the most important information.

The we went for a walk and bought some snacks. Afterwards we ate dinner with our host family. As we had not so much sleep we went early to sleep.

Miriam, Alexandra

We had been looking forward to the trip for so long and finally the day arrived. At 6:30am we started our drive to the Vienna airport, via bus. After we arrived, we gave up our bags and made our way to the gate. Before we actually boarded the plane, we took a twenty minute break to grab some food or drinks for the flight. With the departure at 11:30am, we landed around 1:30pm. After the peaceful flight we got into another bus and met our lovely host parents, who took us to their home.

Even though the trip from Austria to Ireland was long and a bit tiring, we felt immediately relaxed once we entered the house. After a short lunch break host ma took us to the beach to take some photos and enjoy the nature.

In the evening we went on a walk through the neighbourhood to end the day on a good note.

HELENE, LIVIA

Our first day in Dublin started with a very pleasant journey. We had a lot of fun on the way and really enjoyed the time together. The atmosphere was really good and we already knew this trip would become an unforgettable experience.

As soon as we met our host dad for the first time we immediately got along very well. From the first moment on we laughed a lot. Sean is very kind and caring, and he made us feel welcome right away. He also showed us the area around the house and told us many interesting things about the neighborhood. We live very close to the sea, which is amazing. The house is also beautifully decorated and very comfortable and provides a lot of space for us.

Sean even showed us some secret shortcuts, for example a wall you can climb over to reach the sea faster. He knows the area extremely well and he even used to work as a tour guide and has given many tours before. Because of that, he has a lot of knowledge, especially about history, which we found very interesting.

Later that day we took the train to the nearby harbour town of Howth. There we explored the town, looked around in a few shops, and took some nice photos. We really enjoyed the atmosphere by the sea.

After that we went back to our host family’s house. By then our host mum was also there, and we got along very well with her too. In the evening we cooked together and gave them a small present from Graz.

Later tonight we looked at our plans for tomorrow, checked the train schedule, worked on our blog, and edited some videos. Now we are excited and looking forward to tomorrow.

Viktoria, Marie, Shanti and Vali

Today, the 8th of March, was our first day in Dublin. We all were very excited that this day finally came. When we landed, all our stomachs were empty. We all had a long day and decided to check out nearby restaurants. Well, what‘s better for grabbing a quick bite to eat than a fast-food restaurant, we thought.

After our meal, we went to explore the neighbourhood. We were staggered to discover that there is a full-sized mall just around the corner. But that‘s not all - We checked out the bus stops we‘re going to need over the next few days and took a “test drive“. The double-decker busses are just amazing!

And with this, our first day came to end.

-

Nepomuk, Elias, Martin, Benjamin

After we were picked up by our Host familie, who luckily provided us with a light meal, we decided to explore our nearer sourroundings and neighbourhood. After our little trip we ate dinner with our really kind host familie. We are really looking forward to the next days of our vaccation.

Our second day in Ireland was very cool. In the morning after breakfast we drove with the bus to the language school in Dublin.

We got separated in different groups and we interacted a lot with our teachers. The teachers were really nice and we learned a few things about Ireland. We had a 15 minute break for ourselves, after this we had again school. We had lunch at a great restaurant and also looked at the city. Then we got a Dublin tour with a guide, who told us a lot about the the history behind the city. That was quite interesting and informative. We enjoyed the free afternoon with a Starbucks coffee and took the next bus to our host family where we got dinner.

Miriam, Alexandra

Today we started our journey to Ireland! We met up at school at ten past 6 AM to catch the bus that would take us to Vienna airport. From there we boarded the plane to Dublin and arrived at approximately half past 1 PM. From there we were brought to a meeting point from which each of the pairs (or triplets like us) were kidnapped by their host family! (we are all safe and sound, please do not worry) And so we met our host-dad, mom and sister! David, Ruth and Eve are all such kind people, they welcomed us as family right away! After we were finished moving into our new room, we went out for a walk in the neighborhood and found a SPAR (among other things)! When we returned home, we were treated to a traditional Irish sunday dinner: Mashed potatoes and veggies with gravy! Then we were left to sleep in our very comfortable beds and to dream sweet dreams!

Love from Laura, Marie and Elisa!

After a change of plans, we had School at the Babel Academy 12:15 pm, where we played games and learned about irish culture. Later on, we had lunch and we all met up at the Molly Malone statue, where our tour took place. Our guide showed us different historically important places in Dublin, like the Dubh Linn Gardens, from where Dublin got its name, or the St. Patricks Cathedral, where it is said that Saint Patrick baptized the first Irish Christin converts. In the afternoon, we were allowed to discover the city independently. Our group met up with another group and we explored the city together and even went to the Dublin Portal. Marilena, Hannah, Kathi and we decided to go have some lunch at shawarma. Unluckily the food took a bit long so we had to eat while going back to the meeting point at the Molly Malone statue for our next activity. A city walking tour was planned. The first stop was Grafton street. It is a very famous shopping street. Next we went to the Oscar Wilde statue. Furthermore our last stop was the trinity college. After the city walking tour our friends and we wanted to go to phoenix park by bus and rent bikes to ride around, but sadly we could only get four, so us 7 girls had to walk. It was still very nice. After a long walk we finally managed to get to the deers. They were so beautiful and we took many pictures. Moreover we went to the nearest bus station and rode home.

Sophie, Daria

Today, on our second day, we finally went to see the city centre of Dublin. Despite the city being often destroyed because of the troubled history of Ireland, the centre is still shaped by beautiful architecture and many shops, inviting you to come in and buy some gifts for the family back home.

Especially the Crafton Street is the ideal place to spend all of your money, or not, that's up to you. Right at the end of the street, you'll find St. Stephan's Green Shopping Centre. That's the real gem of the inner city. An old, exquisite building, housing even more stores and shops.

To sum up: Our day was shaped by shopping streets and malls - hopefully nobody ran out of money today.

-

Nepomuk, Elias, Martin, Benjamin

Class finished at 12:15pm and we took a quick break before we started exploring the city with a tour guide.

We started at the Molly Malone Statue and continued walking down Grafton Street, where there were lots of street artists entertaining the public. We continued onto Merrion square and visited the Oscar Wilde Statue, who was a famous Irish writer and poet. Then we took a short walk to Trinity College, where we finished our tour and took a few photos.

For our afternoon activity we decided to take the bus to Phoenix park, which is one of the biggest city parks in Europe. We took a long walk through the park and saw the wild deers and the presidents house, which was quite impressive.

HELENE, LIVIA

Today Dublin was our playground. However, let us start in the morning. After getting up early and several plan changes we finally arrived at our school the Babel academy. Here we got to know the detailed Irish culture and langauge. After that we were invited to a guided city tour through the history of the city Dublin. Equiped with this knowledge we were allowed to start our own trip through the city. After visiting the Spire and a huge Lego Store we finally went to eat something. Hidden spots found, mission accomplished. Tired legs but worth every step. See you tomorrow. 🤩

(By the way, did you know that there are over 3500 dustbins around the city? ( See the picture above))

After we woke up at 6:45 today, we had a delicious breakfast. Then we took the bus to the Temple Bar, where the language school was also located. Surprisingly, the tour was moved to the afternoon, which is why we had lessons at the Babel Academy. With our funny teacher from Brazil we played a few rounds stop. After some entertaining rounds, we had to fill out a tricky worksheet on Irish history. After a one-hour break at KFC, an interesting tour of Dublin began. On this tour, the guide explained things about St Patrick's Cathedral, the gardens of Dubh Linn and the Molly Malone statue. After the tour we could move freely in the city. We visited many interesting places in Dublin. When we came home in the evening, a delicious dinner was already waiting for us.

Thiemo, Noah

We also visited Trinity College which totally reminded us of 2000s American films.

Afterwards, we had some free time, so we decided to go into vintage shops and go to the beach.

Today we had our second morning class at 9 am. After the class we had half an hour free time before meeting us with our teachers. Hannah and we decided that we want to go to the coffee shop named Costa. We bought a Frappuccino and a cherry vanilla iced matcha latte. They both were very delicious. After that we went to the meeting spot where some of our friends were already there. As one large group we went to the bus station and rode to the spot where the Gaelic games were planned to play. After we arrived, we changed quickly. After showing us videos how to play Gaelic football and hurling, we were ready to go on the field. The girls and the boys got separated. We started with Gaelic football. At the beginning it was difficult to understand the rules because it was new for us, but after a while it was much fun to play. After around 1 hour the boys switched sports with us and we could try hurling. First, everyone got a helmet, a stick and a ball. It was also much fun to try. At 4 pm we all rode back to the city by bus and could do whatever we want. Us two girls decided to ride back home by bus because it was a long day. On the way back home we made a stop at the Dublin portal.

Sophie, Daria

After school finished we went to get us something to eat at „Abra Kebabra“ , which i really recommend doing. Shortly after we finished our delicious meal we took the bus to a place where we tried playing Gaelic Games and that was a really nice experience. The evening was the best Part of the day because we met a really funny and nice guy. His name is Johny and he introduced us to his friend that sings on the street and he definetly did a great job. After this funny experience we once again went to „ Abra Kebabra“ and of course the food was delicious again. We are looking forward to see Johny again.

After another delicious breakfast, we made our way to the language school like yesterday, where we spent the first part of the morning lessons with games and the second with a discussion between assigned political parties. After a short lunch break it went on and we tried the Gaelic Games. First we watched a few videos about the games and then we were allowed to try them out ourselves in two groups. After a bus ride back to the city we were released and spent the rest of the afternoon and evening in Dublin.

Thiemo, Noah

In the morning we went to Bable Academy. Today our teacher thought us some interesting things about different jobs. After lunch we went to play Gaelic Games ,which is very traditional in Ireland. We tried sports like Gaelic football and hurling, which were exciting and a bit difficult at first. It was quite fun to get to know such a traditional sport. Later we went into the city center to do some shopping. Afterwards, we met a really funny street artist that encouraged us to dance and sing with him. It was a really funny day!

Hannah, Kathi, Marilena

We got up at nearly the same time as yesterday. As soon as we arrived in the city center, we had our second lesson at the Babel Academy, but with a different teacher named Paul. Paul taught us many different Irish phrases, like “grand,” which means that something is fine or okay. We also had a political discussion later on, which was very interesting to watch.

In the early afternoon, we went to the Gaelic games, where the trainers first showed us the rules and then divided us into girls’ and boys’ teams. The boys started with hurling and the girls started with Gaelic football. At first, hurling was pretty hard to understand, but after some time, we all understood it and it became a whole lot of fun, even though not even one goal was scored.

After around one hour, we switched so that the boys were trained in Gaelic football and the girls in Camogie, which is pretty much the same thing, but for women. Gaelic football is a mixture of American football, soccer, and even a little bit of basketball. After some time, we played a match, which we luckily won, and it was a whole lot of fun.

In the evening, we went to a burger restaurant near Temple Bar, which was very small but also very good. Now we are preparing to go to sleep and it was another great day in Dublin! So overall, you can say, that the day was really “grand”

Matthias, Michael

Today we had to wake up early in order to be at school at 9 a.m. After more than 3 long hours of learning new Irish phrases, we ended up going to eat some lunch at Abra Kebabra. Shortly afterwards we headed out to play Gaelic games, which was really funny. It was great trying out new sports which I hadn't even heard of before. After driving into the city centre again and walking around for a while, we met Johnny. Johnny is an Irish local who is really friendly and funny. He then introduced us to his favourite street musician, Simon. Simon is an excellent singer fron Italy. A few other friends then joined us and we had a lot of fun with Simon and Johnny. Sadly, we then had to say goodbye because we needed to be home at 9 p.m. and still wanted to eat dinner at Abra Kebabra. We are looking forward to seeing Johnny and Simon again.

Ian, Elias A.

After our English School in the morning, we got to play two Gaelic games, which were Hurling and Gaelic Football. At first it was really difficult to understand, but after trying it for a bit, we slowly got the hang of it. Even though it rained, that didn't stop us from giving it our best at our matches. Although, we couldn't go to the beach because of the rain and had to change our plans. We decided to go to a restaurant, where we had delicious food.

We hope that we'll the same amount of fun tomorrow as we had today.

After a short brake we took the bus to a near sportsfield. After we were intoduced in both Hurling and Gelic Football we were allowed to play a match ourselves. We promise you, it was a lot of fun. Afterwards we decided to visit a small Irish Restaurant in the city. They promised that they had the smallest menu in the whole city of Dublin.( See the pictures above) Anyway the food was absolutely delicious and tasty.(Thanks to Prof. Sadjak for the suhgestion) I think we are currently 90% Burger.🍔 Mission completet. What a „grand“ day in Dublin!🤩

We had breakfast together, listened to some music, and talked a bit before getting ready for the day. After that, we went to the train station to go to school. Unfortunately, our train was a little bit late, so we quickly grabbed a coffee at the station before continuing our journey to school.

When we arrived, we had our lessons. The classes were actually really fun. We played the game Werewolf and also worked on a few worksheets. After the lesson, we had a 30-minute break. We took a bus for about 30 minutes to get to the sports field. First, we learned a bit about the different sports and especially about how important they are for Irish people and their culture. It was very fun and we laughed a lot, but it was also quite exhausting.

Later, we went into the city and met up with the bigger group.

Today was our fourth day in Dublin and it was great as always! First, we got to start our morning later than usual because we did a boat tour on the river, for which we met at 10 am. Still, the group we were in only started the tour at 11.30, so we had some spare time and we visited a church nearby. Then on the boat, we got to listen to a guide who talked a lot about Dublin and the river. Afterwards, we had a quick lunch during our free time and then had class until 5 pm. Today we decided to explore Grafton Street in the evening and get some shopping done! We ended the day with some dinner and we're excited for tomorrow!

Hannah, Kathi, Marilena

Today started off with a boat tour on the River Liffey, where we learned lots about the history of the river itself and the buildings at its banks! After that we had a 2 hour break where we ate at our favorite restaurant: Bóbós (10/10 great food, would recommend)! After that we went to the academy, but since Elisa and Marie didn't feel all too well, we parted ways... While I was at school and tagging along with my classmates after, Marie and Elisa made an amazing impression back at home, because they cooked up some Wienerschnitzel for the whole host family! They loved it and said it was the best thing any host kids have ever tried making for them at their house! Needless to say Elisa and Marie are some great chefs! Back on my end, my classmates and I decided to visit a bay nearby, and I was having a great time being social and just having fun. At the end of the day I made it home safe and sound!

Love, Laura!

Today we made a boat cruise on the river Livi which is the biggest river in Dublin. We saw many interesting buildings during the 50 minutes drive. For example the central bank whose building costs 4.5 million euros because of the golden exterior facade. In addition to this we also saw many swans and seagulls which we also feeded part of our sandwich. After that we had free time before the afternoon class started. Therefore Sigrun and Martin went to eat fish and chips while me Tabea ,Eunice, Learta, Magdi, Elias and Miriam went to eat at the Hardrock restaurant.

At 1:40pm our class began. The first point on the programme was playing murder mistery. It was a lot of fun for everyone even though nobody guessed the real murderer. After a 20 minutes break we talked about different feelings and played taboo.

Tabea, Sigrun

Today we got to sleep in, because we had to meet an hour later than usual. Our meeting point was next to the river liffey where a boat tour was awaiting us. Unfortunaly only half the group got to be on the first ride, whilst the second group had to wait one hour for their turn. After a quick lunch break we went te the Babel Academy and class until 5 p.m.. At first we worked on our english skills, and then we had a survey which we will continue tomorrow.

Today we ate at our host family where we had a great lasagne. Afterwards we went out for a quick walk at the beach.

And now we will watch the Champions League and head to bed.

We are excited for the remaining days!

Elias M, Sergi, Leo

Our day started a bit later than normally because we had to meet with our classmates at 10am at the Sean Casey Bridge for our Liffey River Cruise. Since we had to be parted into two groups, we had a free time before it was our turn to get on the boat. During that time we got coffee and went in a few stores.

When it was finally our time to do the cruise, we entered the boat took our seats and enjoyed the view for the following 50 minutes.

Afterwards we took the bus to the temple bar square, where we got a bag and another coffee. Then we had afternoon school from 1:40pm till 5pm.

We got the rest of the day to ourselves and decided to do some shopping on Grafton Street. After having bought a few new items, it was already getting dark outside, so we decided to get take out. We got fish and chips took our bus straight home, where we had a nice chat with our host parents.

HELENE, LIVIA

Today started off a bit different. We began the day with an interesting river cruise, where we learned lots of new facts about Dublin. Afterwards we of course had lunch at the best food spot in Dublin: Abra Kebabra. School took place in the afternoon this time. After wandering through the streets of Dublin for a while, we ended up eating some delicious burgers at a restaurant called " Bunsen ". The train then took us near our houses and after talking for a while, we parted ways with our friends and walked home.

Elias A, Ian

Today was our fourth day in Dublin, and it was a very exciting and busy day. We woke up early in the morning and then took the train to the city centre of Dublin.

Our first stop was Love Lane, a small and colourful street full of art and messages about love. It was very beautiful and a great place to take photos. After that, we walked to the Portal, which connects Dublin with another city through a live video screen. It was interesting to see people from another place in real time.

Next, we went to Penneys to do some shopping. Many of us bought clothes and small things there because the shop has good prices. After our shopping trip, we went on a boat tour on the River Liffey.

During the tour our guide told us many interesting facts about Dublin's history, famous bridges and important buildings along the river.

Later, we had some free time. During this time, we went to a bookshop and relaxed while drinking coffee and matcha. It was a nice break before the next activity.

In the afternoon, we had four hours of language school. We learned new vocabulary, practiced speaking English and worked together in groups.

After the language school, we walked to Grafton Street and visited the St. Stephen's Green Shopping Centre. The building looks a bit like a museum inside, with a beautiful glass roof. We did more shopping there and bought souvenirs to bring home.

In the evening, we went to a very nice restaurant and ate pizza together. It was a perfect way to end the day. After dinner, we took the train back home.

Marie, Vali, Viki and Shanti

Today we could get up a bit later than usual because we were meeting us at 10 am at the Sean O’Casey Bridge for a river cruise at the Liffey River. Our guide on the boat was very nice, explained Irish history and he could even talk a bit German. It lasted one hour and we saw many sights. After this activity as a group of five we decided to get some coffee in our lunchbreak. We bought a Chai Latte with a berry cake and a Mocha with an apple-almond cake. After our break we went to school and had our first afternoon class. In this class we played some fun games such as werewolf and taboo. When our lesson was over we went to the famous Grafton Street and spent our whole evening there. We were at the Pandora store, Subdued and at an Irish tourism shop. In the Irish store we bought some gift for our family and friends at home. The last stop of the day was a Fish and Chips restaurant. It was very delicious, even though we both don’t like fish that much.

Sophie, Daria

We really recommend this trip to everyone.

Afterwards we had some fun classes at Bable-Academy. In the evening we decided to do some sports so we met up to jog to the city center. Unfortunately it was raining heavily but this couldn’t stop our mission. Teacher Paul taught us how to speak to strangers and make a survey with them. The first and most important step was being polite and kind to the people. After we returned we had to evaluate our results. After presenting them infront of our class we had a little break before we went to the whisky factory. Even though the tour through the factory was quite short we learned much about the process and the production. In the end we were allowed to taste an non alcoholic drink.

After school, we went to a whisky distillery, where we learned a lot about it’s production and history. In the evening, we met up with some friends and went bowling, which was really fun. Then we went to a restaurant and got some pasta and drinks. Now we are back at our host family’s house and we can’t wait for tomorrow’s trip to Howth.

Kathi, Karo and Maja

Today our first activity of the day started at 9am in school. We had to go out to famous places like Grafton street or St Stephen’s Green Park to do a survey. Sadly it was pouring rain the whole day, that’s why we could also interview people in the Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre. Our questionnaire had to include questions such as, how locals like Dublin, what they know about Austria and their favourite place in Dublin. In 80 minutes we had to interview and film at least 8 people. Beside the fact, that it was actually a bit hard to get people to talk to us because most of them were in a rush, it was really fun to do something for the school in the city. When we got back we had to present our survey. After school we had a one hour lunch break. We drank some hot chocolate in a cafe because we were completely wet. Afterwards, we went to the Teeling Whiskey Distillery and learnt many facts like, that it was the first Distillery to open after 125 years and founded by Jack and Stephen Teeling. Because we are too young to try Whiskey we all had a glass of Mocktail, which was very delicious. After the tour we got the rest of the afternoon free and we quickly hurried back into the city. The first stop was the Lego shop, and after that we went to eat at the Little Pyg restaurant. We both had a yummy Ceasar Salad. We ended the day with some Donuts as a dessert.

Sophie, Daria

Today, in our fifth day in Dublin, we went to see the Teeling Whiskey Distillery. Back in the day, before the independence of Ireland, this distillery already produced whiskey and not just that - 60% of all bought whiskeys were made there. This changed, when the War of Independence started. The economy declined so much, that only 2% were made by Teeling. Luckily now, they're back and already produce 6% again. Why "just" 6% you might ask, because now, there are way more different destillaries than back in the day - which means more competition.

As you might be able to tell, it was interesting.

Still, the day had a few hours left unwritten.

So what did we do next?

Martin and Beni went shopping for gifts in the city and got lost on their way back home. Something to cross of the to-do list.

In the meantime, Elias and Nepomuk went to Portmarnock. It's a beautiful sand beach with lots of shells to admire.

Even though, the weather was really windy and rainy, we enjoyed our trip. Now tough, we got to figure out how to get our shoes dry again - maybe this wasn't the best idea after all.

-

Nepomuk, Elias, Benjamin, Martin

It is already a routine. Getting up in the morning and going to Bable-Academy. However, there was a little difference today. It was raining heavily. We got completely wet. Thanks to you weathergod.😉Anyway, our teacher from China invited us to a challenge with chopsticks. We had to grab as many sweets as possible in under 10 seconds. Afterwards we prepared for a street-survey. Well prepared we made our way to a near shopping centre to test our new skills. After classes we only had a short lunch break, because we wanted to take part in a guided tour through the Teeling-Whiskey-Distillery. Unfortunately the tour was quite short, but we still learned a lot. In the end we were even able to put our namens on a special wall. What a succes. But what to do afterwards. We decided to take a trip to Dublin Port. Unfortunately we were caught of unbelievable heavy rain again. What a shame. However, it was still a great trip. So we are currently drying our clothes and our soul, but see you tomorrow, hopefully with more sun.🤩

Our day started with school as usual at 9am and lasted until 12:15pm. Today we had a different school program, we had to interview random people in the city. Originally we were supposed to go to Grafton Street but it was raining cats and dogs, so we went to Jervis Shopping Center instead and did our interview there.

After school we went for a little coffee break with our friends near the location for our next activity which was the Teeling Whiskey Distillery.

Once break was over we made our way down to the Distillery, where we met our teachers and classmates. We were separated in two groups and got a tour through the Distillery and we learned about how whiskey is made, the history behind it and how much the oldest whiskey costs. Afterwards we got to try a herbal mocktail and that was the beginning of our free afternoon.

Even though it was raining we still had a great time and went for example in the Lego store as well as the Disney store. We ate a lovely dinner and drove home safely, where we had a warm welcome from host ma and pa. In the evening we had a lovely chat with them in the living room.

Overall we had a fantastic day and enjoyed ourselves.

HELENE, LIVIA

We had to take part in a street survey and aproach many different people. Afterwards we decided to change things up a little and had lunch at "Abra Kebabra". A bus then took us to the Teeling Wiskey Distillery, where a guide told us many interesting thinks about the whiskey wich is made there. Then we explored new parts of dublin and found a basketball/soccer court where we played for quite some time. Exhausted from playing, we went on a quick shopping tour. For lunch, we decided to eat at an american place which was suprisingly good. Allthough it was raining heavy, we had a great day.

Today we had our last morning class. We played some games and got sweets from our language teachers. After class we had some free time before the trip to Howth. Helene, Livia and we went to Costa coffee for the last time. We drank a matcha and a frappé. With our drinks we rushed to the train station where we met the rest of the group. After a long train ride we finally got to Howth. Our first stop was near the sea where we all took some pictures. After that we began our walking trip to the cliffs. After one and a half hours of hiking we got back to the train station and rode to the city. As a group of 9 we went to out to play billiard.

Sophie, Daria

Today was the last day in the language school. We played funny games like,, Werwolf‘‘ and Taboo. Even though the games were fun the partner activity was much more fun. We had to work in pairs and had to ask our partner 25 random questions. We asked a lot of interesting questions and got some good facts about them. It was a really nice ending of the school. After a quick lunch break we took a train to Howth were we started our cliff walk. It took us around three hours to get back to the start. We collected many wonderful memories from this walk and took many photos. Fortunately the weather was really nice so we enjoyed it even more. Our evenings were spent in a pub and on a beach.

Tabea,Sigrun

Today we had an amazing day, that started with our usual school lessons from 9am until 12:15pm. After that we went to go for a coffee and relaxed with our friends before we needed to meet our classmates and teachers at the train station. When it was time we got on the train to Howth, which took about 40 minutes.

Once we arrived there we went straight to the beach where we had a lovely view. Afterwards we started our hike up to the cliffs, which took around two hours. In that time we took a bunch of pictures and chatted with our friends. Surprisingly the weather was pretty nice for Ireland conditions, we had some wind, which didn’t affect us but it didn’t rain at all. After a 30 minute walk back to the train station, we had the afternoon to ourselves and we decided to get an ice cream and a slushie. Even though the walk was fun, our feet were hurting and we were exhausted, so we went straight home.

Shortly after we came home we had dinner and we were full of energy again. We had a great evening because we had a lot of fun with our host ma and pa.

HELENE, LIVIA

Today we went to Howth! We went to school as per usual in the morning, had bubble waffles and rushed t meet up with everyone at Tara St station to catch the train to Howth! When we got there, the first thing we saw was the sea, and we all hung out by the rocks on the shore! Then commenced the cliff tour! The view was so beautiful everywhere, and the weather even cleared as if on cue a few times! The sight really inspired me, and I felt really relaxed the entire way! It was an awesome experience, all in all! After Howth, we took the train for Bray to get back to the city, where we stopped by to eat some really great food at a Japanese shop at Tara St! It was a while until we were out of the restaurant, and by the time we arrived at Temple Bar to get ice cream and waffles, it had already gotten dark. (Friendly advice: try avoiding Temple Bar on Friday nights, weird stuff happens :) After the events of the day, we were rightfully exhausted to the point of giddiness, which made the walk back home really amusing!

All the love in the world from mostly Laura! A long ride with the train then took us to the cliffs of howth. The sight was incredible and you could also spot several seals from the far. After hiking down the cliffs again, we decided to eat at a restaurant located right under the trainstation. Three of us had some delicious fish and chips, but the croatian guy only had money for the chips. In the evening we played pool in the city center, where Elias and I absolutely crushed Nico and David.

In our last lesson of the week we started with a murder mystery where we didn't manage to find the murderer and then we learned a bit more about the city of Dublin. After a short lunch break we took the Dart to Howth where we first saw a nice rocky beach and started our journey through the peninsula. The further we ascended the windier it got and the better you could view the ocean. We even saw some seals!

(You can see them in the second picture)

At the top we had a break to enjoy the nice view and take some photos. Then we started the descent through the more populated area of Howth. In the evening we went out to eat with our friends and had a lovely time. Now we're heading to bed and are excited for the visit to Kilkenny tomorrow.

Sergi, Elias M., Leo E.

Our friend Matthias celebrated his 16th birthday. Congratulations to you at this point.🎉 But on Friday the 13th. If that does not mean anything. We will see. Anyway after classes, where we were trying to solve a murder-mystery, the interesting part of the day started. We took the train to Howth to make a short cliffwalk around on the pen-island. We had a wonderful view on the wide sea. The cliffs were just amazing. Anyway, six days, one birthday, lots of memories to take Home.🤩

It was very tasty and a nice way to start the day. After breakfast, we headed to our language school.

At school we first worked on some worksheets again and then played a few games. We also learned some new Irish slang words, which was very funny and interesting. After the lesson we only had a short break before our afternoon activity started.

In the afternoon we went to Howth, where we did a cliff walk. The walk took almost three hours of our day, but it was definitely worth it. It was beautiful to walk along the cliffs and enjoy the amazing views of the sea. We had a lot of fun and the landscape was very impressive. From far away we even saw a seal in the water, which was really exciting. We were also very lucky with the weather. It was quite windy, but not too uncomfortable, and luckily we had good equipment and good shoes.

After the walk we had some free time because we only had to be back at our host families’ houses at 9 p.m. During this time we went to the city center of Dublin with another group. There we played billiards and drank some mocktails together.

In the evening we returned home and talked with our host family about our day and also about our plans for the future. Unfortunately, our trip to Dublin is slowly coming to an end. We will definitely miss the city and especially our host families very much.

Viki, Vali, Marie and Shanti

Today we made a trip to Kilkenny. We met up with the rest of the group at 9 a.m. and then drove there with a rented bus. After two and a half hours we arrived in Kilkenny. We had a little tour through the small city first and then we had a short break. During this break we were able to explore the city by ourselves and get some food. After that we had a non-guided tour through Kilkenny Castle, which was amazing. Later we went back to our bus and drove to Dublin again. Back in Dublin we got some pasta for dinner and met up with some friends. We are very sad that this amazing trip to Ireland is over now, but we really enjoyed it!!

Kathi, Karo and Maja

Today was a little different than usual because we didn't go to the Babel Academy, instead we went to Kilkenny.

For that, we all met at the Clifton Hotel and got in a bus. We knew that it would be a rather long trip, nearly two hours.

When we arrived we got a tour through the small but beautiful city of Kilkenny, where we learned something about the history and the people that live there.

After the tour we got a short lunch break. Our group strolled through the heart of the city and already admired the Kilkenny Castle. There were a lot of people because St.Patricks day is already near.

Afterwards we got seperated into two groups of 24, one group had the tour through the castle at half past two the other at three p.m.. Us and our friend were in the second group so we had to wait half an hour. When we got into the castle we didn't get a guided tour it was a self-guided tour. Afterwards we enjoyed the nature by the castle and went back to Dublin by bus.

Two hours later we arrived in Dublin and enjoyed our last evening here.

We had a great last day and an amazing week in Ireland!

Elias M.,Sergi, Leo

Our last day has arrived. We met all the other ones at 8:45. Our bus driver picked us up at 9 am for a day trip to kilkenny. The Bus Drive lasted two hours and we got there at 11 am. First, we got a little tour from the city from our tour guide. After that we had around one and a half hours for lunch break before meeting the others again at the bus. As the whole group we walked to the Kilkenny castle. There we had to be separated into two groups for the tour through the castle. While waiting we sat in the park and enjoyed the sunny day. The tour was half an hour. After that we all met us again at the bus and rode back to Dublin with a little stop in between. After coming back to Dublin Helene, Livia and we decided to go to Costa coffee one last time before riding home by bus. After dinner at the host family we met some friends and enjoyed the last day in Ireland.

Sophie, Daria

After meeting up with the group, we set off on a two-hour drive to our destination: the historic city of Kilkenny. We spent the day exploring the streets and we got a great tour of the city of Kilkenny and the Kilkenny Castle itself, where we learned all about the city's history and about the castle itself. Once the tour was finished, we headed back to Dublin for one last evening. We enjoyed a nice dinner in the city center before returning to our host families to beginn packing our bags.

Matthias and Michael

Today a 2 hour bus ride took us to Kilkenny. After being guided through the city, where we learned some interesting facts about Kilkenny and had some fun playing the bongos. We were allowed some free time to eat. When walking through the streets we saw an interesting looking restaurant, it was called "Abra Kebabra". Sadly it was closed, so we then found ourselfs in a different restaurant which was also very delicious. To our suprise, the croatian guy this time had enough money to buy fish and chips and not just the chips. After being split into two seperate groups, we were allowed to go inside the Kilkenny Castle. On the bus tour home we were exhausted and many people were sleeping. For lunch we then had some stuffed fries at a place right next to the Babel Academy, its called "Abra Kebabra" and I would recommend it to anyone. Then we went to play pool again for quite some time, which was really funny.

Elias A., Ian
