         <description><![CDATA[<div>A PERT chart/diagram is a project management tool used to schedule, organize and coordinate tasks. PERT stands for Program Evaluation Review Technique. PERT was developed by the US Navy in the 1950's to manager the Polaris submarine missile program. The methodology of PERT diagrams is similar to the Critical Path Method. A PERT chart consists of a graphic showing of a project and shows a project as a network diagram. The diagram consists of numbered nodes which represent tasks, events and milestones. The direction of the arrows that link the diagram together show the flow of tasks.</div>]]></description>
