SUBTRACTING RATIONAL NUMBERS:


Step one : keep the first number 
Step two : change the operation from subtract to add 
Step three: get the opposite of the second number 
 Step four: follow addition rules

-14+(-11)= - 35

ADDING RATIONAL NUMBERS:

Rule:  to add integers if the sign is different subtract  the numbers and use the sign of the largest number , to add integers with same sign add normally and get the answer .

-4+3= -1 
 -13+-17= +30 or 30

Multiplying more than 2 Rational Numbers
Step1: find the product of the first  two factors if they was different signs so it will be (-) product but if it was the same signs it will be (+)product
Step2: multiply numerator by numerator then multiply donemnator by donemnator
Step 3: simplify the result by division
EX:(-2 over 3)(-1 over 2)(-3 over5)
2×1×3=6
3×2×5=30
It will be (-6 over 30)
Simplify =6÷6=1
30÷6=5
The result is (1 over 5)

Now we are right, that we multiply two numbers, right as fractions, how do we do them? We see between the two numbers below and above, if there are two numbers like some, like we leave them one, and like this, for example, if we have above number 9 and below number 3 opposite each other, we leave the 3 1 and the 9 3 according to  The smaller number is how much we multiply it so that it becomes the largest, then we multiply them together. In an easier way, which is to do a normal multiplication, then we divide the result, like 12/10 becomes 6/5
