         <description><![CDATA[<div>contain one independent clause (complete thought/sentence) and one or more dependent clauses. A dependent clause is composed of an independent clause fronted by a "signal word"  (subordinating conjunction - when, if, while, after, because). Complex sentences may also contain asides (parenthetical thoughts) and appositives (phrases that rename the preceding noun. For instance, "My mother, <strong>a very kind woman</strong>, sent me cookies.").</div>]]></description>
