You have earned a stellar reputation for outstanding service delivery from the public we serve.

As many of you know, Salt Lake County is in the middle of a process that will change local governance for many in the townships and unincorporated areas. We are calling this the Community Preservation Project. The reason we are moving forward with Community Preservation is to give township and unincorporated island residents greater local control and stability while still receiving excellent, high-quality municipal services. We believe Community Preservation will ensure that employees stay in the municipal services business for many years to come, funded appropriately and transparently. Throughout this process we have heard from numerous township and unincorporated area citizens. As we hear from residents, one theme stands out:

When residents describe the county services they love, they talk about both municipal and countywide services. It is clear that most residents feel as we do, that you—ouremployees—doa great job.
