Modernization - It is the process of adapting to something of modern needs.

Propaganda - A biased or leaned statement used to promote political information.

All three of these connect to WW 1 because wars always involve conflict. Modernization is needed because of the constant technology change and upgrades to military weaponry. And propaganda is sometimes used during war to promote a certain side and why their better than the other. Or to make untruthful statements about the other side to make people turn.
