         <description><![CDATA[<div>Pressure is calculated by dividing force by area. There is more pressure at greater depths in liquids and in denser materials. Manometers and barometers measure pressure. <br>Pressure is the <strong>force per unit area</strong>.</div><div><br>This means that the pressure a solid object exerts on another solid surface is its weight in <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/education/guides/zrcmn39/revision#glossary-zd4gwmn"><strong>newtons</strong></a> divided by its area in square metres.</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Liquid pressure</strong> is the increase in <strong>pressure</strong> at increasing depths in a <strong>liquid</strong>. This <strong>pressure</strong> increases because the <strong>liquid</strong> at lower depths has to support all of the water above it. We calculate <strong>liquid pressure</strong> using the equation <strong>liquid pressure</strong> = mass x acceleration due to g density x depth in fluid.</div>]]></description>

The pressure of a gas is the force that the gas exerts on the walls of its container.
