Each piece of the statue has its own story, for example the face looks a lot like the designer’s mother. Also, it took seventy train cars to   deliver all of the pieces to be assembled. This book is full of fun details and gives a great         representation of how it all came together, as well as the background story.

This story can be used to explain why we still have Thanksgiving and the importance of giving thanks for our many blessings. There are also many activities that can be done based on this book, by using some of the Thanksgiving website resources I have previously given.
