I have worked with Washington County Public Schools in a Pre-K inclusion class. I have worked with typical developing children as well as children with special needs. I have worked with children with autism, ADHD, other developmental delays, speech delays, physical disabilities, and behavior issues. I provide additional support to these children including accommodations and modifications. 

I believe in being an advocate for learning by going above and beyond the call of duty. Teaching goes beyond just academics. It involves developing a child’s social, emotional, personal, and physical skills. It is about teaching students how to care for and respect one another, and how to function in society. 

I will value diversity and inclusion by accepting all students for who they are regardless of their background and including parents and families in their child’s education. 

I believe that it takes a village to raise a child and teachers and the educational community are an important part of a child’s development and well-being.  

I believe it is important to be innovative in the learning process and to keep abreast the latest technology to keep learning valid, fun, interesting and engaging. 

I believe in practicing professional ethics, leading by example, and being reflective in myself and in my teaching.
