Look up your State Ag in the Classroom page. They usually have funding opportunities or grant programs that are less competitive than national programs.

I found the monthly funding opportunities email helpful - it gave me a few I didn't know about...a few to bookmark for next year and the upcoming helped me get ready to apply for some.....having this email sent directly to me and having someone else do the research to find these opportunities is very helpful....

Being able to find resources to develop programs in a semi public garden for homeschool groups. This is a growing group that we can serve as Master Gardeners.

There needs to be a grant that a farm can apply for and reach out to daycares, preschools and elementary schools to work with them to expose children to a working farm. All I ever see is non-profit, state or governments and schools that can apply for grants. We have a farm and would love to work with local schools but can't afford to start a program. This could be beneficial for farms and children.

I am a middle school teacher and the kids love the outdoors, we are having a hard time gaining traction with how to build a garden fast enough for the kids who are only with us 3 years. The funding is very competitive, I wish there was a group of local NYC schools that could apply for grants together and work together to build a program for our concrete kids. I work near lots of public housing and the kids want something to do every day, but there is no garden-specific program that meets the needs of a few specific students who would LOVE to be in the garden 5 days a week over the summer.

I really want to build a connection with people who have similar students/children/needs.

I am in NYC, in Jackson Heights and we do not have a community garden. I would love to have more connections with more open garden space. The school across the street IS 230 had a garden program for a while, but it is not functioning recently. I think my post in the school section intersects with this area, too.

I'm a Farm to Early Care and Education Coordinator. Much of the resources available for Farm to School doesn't apply to ECE, either because they're ineligible for grants, TA, etc., or because their needs are different. Our sites operate on smaller scales with much less funding and staff capacity. Their educational needs are often less content-based and more focused on socioemotional development, nutrition, etc.

I believe there are some, but more garden lessons adapted to this audience would be great. Getting connected to more support for the ECE community would be helpful as well.

It would be great if there were more local grants that focus on small school pollinator garden. I would love to find resources that would assist my small school in getting access to gardening materials, such as soil and mulch.

I'm in San Antonio and just don't have a lot of time to prep and plan with my garden students (also we only meet maybe 30 minutes every couple of weeks). I would love to find someone who could help plan and prep work and meeting days. I have staff to help on the actual work and meeting days, but I just need help setting them up.

We need localized funding from foundations and donors that provide assistance for our geographic area.

We need new localized resources to not only bring in funding but to also for outreach so that we get new families to participate in our community garden in the Boerne Texas area.
