Point 1

One fact that the graphic showed was that the Aborigines made paintings based on ancient stories. Many of the Aborigines make enough money through selling their native artworks.

Point 2

The graphic showed that life in Australia is very different than life in the U.S. because the aborigines believed in different things than us. The aborigines are also different because their way of life is different, they have different instruments and they do art different than the U.S does.

Point 3

In the text it says that the aborigines placed humans on the same level as nature because that’s just how the believed it. They believed this because the nature was highly respected then because everything in nature was used to help them make things.

Point 1

One fact that the video showed that the Uluru rock was a sacred place for the Aborigines. When the British explorers came to Africa, the walked on the Uluru rock, even though the Aborigines wished them to stop.

Point 2

The video showed that life in Australia is very different than life in the U.S. because the Aborigines didn’t want anyone to walk on the Uluru rock. When in the U.S., almost every square mile of land is used for some reason, but some areas can’t be used for certain reasons.

Point 3

The video showed that Aborigines place themselves on the same level as nature because they didn’t want anybody to walk on the rock of Uluru. The Aborigines made sure they did not harm any of the nature on the Uluru rock, and told the British to stay away from it as well.

Black Duck and Water Rat

Point 1

One fact from the story was that the Aboriginal people believed that platypuses were created when a black duck and a water rat had children. The Aborigines thought that, through dreamtime, that platypuses originated in the flooding plains of Australia, then made their way to the mountainous regions of Australia.

Point 2

One way the story showed how the Aboriginal life is the same from the U.S. is that the Aborigines believed in things being created through their religion, and some people in the U.S. believe how things came to be through their religion as well. Although, not all people in the U.S. believe how things were created through their religion, some believe how things were created through science.

Point 3

One way the story showed how Aborigines put nature on the same level as humans is the story itself. They took the time to dream about how platypuses were made, and they believed it because they respect their religion, and they respect the animals as much as they do people.

Point 1
One fact that the story showed was that the Aborigines thought, through dreamtime, that hills were formed by The Rainbow Serpent. When The Rainbow Serpent was angered, he threw big mounds of Earth from a mountain to for the hills.
Point 2
The story showed that the Aborigines are different than the people in the U.S. because they believe that a Rainbow Serpent formed the hill in Australia. People in U.S. tend to believe more in God forming the lands.
Point 3
The story showed how Aborigines placed nature on the same level as people because in the beginning of the story, the Aborigines welcome the Rainbow Serpent into their tribe. When The Rainbow Serpent comes back to the Aborigines tribe, he is welcomed in like he was never suppose to have not been with them.
