         <description><![CDATA[<div>A Constitutional Republic is where the president of the state and representatives are elected by the people/citizens. The constitution limits the power of each person of power in office. Citizens have the ultimate power over their leaders and representatives. Everyone's voice is heard.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Irish citizens enjoy certain rights and privileges from the Government of Ireland, that are in the Irish constitution. Here are some rights that the citizens of Ireland have. Equality before the law. All citizens in Ireland have to be held equal before the law. They have the right to life which means that you would die a natural death and can't be kept alive by artificial means. The right to personal liberty and freedom, except when you get arrested or your in trouble with the law. Freedom of expression, you can express your emotions and opinions without getting in trouble. Freedom of assembly, you have the right to meet or come together in a peacefully manner without weapons. Freedom of association, you can create a community, for example, social or charitable. The right to fair procedures, a person making a decision that affects you cannot be biased or appear to be biased. Bodily integrity, the state cannot put your health in danger even in prison or in custody. Trial by Jury, you can choose if want to sit alone with a judge or a judge and a jury that is picked by random people of the community. Religious Liberty, you are free to practice any religion that you wish to practice and no one can discriminate on the grounds of religion. The right to privacy, your private written communications and telephone communications cannot be deliberately unjustifiably used. Freedom to ravel, you can travel anywhere in the world.  </div>]]></description>

The Prime Minster of Ireland is appointed by the president upon the nomination of Dail Eireann which is the lower house of the Oireachtas. So the President is elected by the citizens. The Prime Minister is appointed by a branch of government. </div>]]></description>

         <title>5. Ireland&#39;s Government Compared to Iceland&#39;s Government</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In Ireland, the leaders are chosen by the people of the state/citizens. In Iceland the leaders are chosen by the people of the state as well. While Iceland is a Constitutional Republic their also a multi-party system. A multi-party system is a in which multiple political parties across a spectrum called a political spectrum. A political spectrum is a system of classifying different political positions. Which they can run for a national election and all have the capacity to gain control of government offices. </div>]]></description>
