Honesty is one of the most important values in terms of academic integrity in my opinion. Honesty is essential because it provides a basis for trust and credibility in academic work. Students who are honest in their research, writing, and assessments maintain the integrity of their work and contribute to an academic honesty culture.

Do you think academic integrity should be practiced in the workplace as well as in our academic life? Give one example to show how academic integrity plays a crucial role in the workplace. (You might need to do some research on this topic. Remember to give appropriate citation).

I believe that academic integrity should be practiced both in the workplace and in academic circles. In both environments, maintaining integrity creates an atmosphere of trust, professionalism, and moral behavior. Academic integrity in the workplace translates to ethical behavior, research, and decision-making.

Look for the following circumstances: A company is developing a new product and needs to conduct market research to understand consumer preferences. A team member suggests using data from a recent academic study without properly citing the source or obtaining permission to do so. The team decides to use the data in their research report without citing the source. Later, when the product was released, it became clear that the data was flawed, resulting in a significant financial loss for the company and reputational damage. Following an investigation, it was discovered that the data was misrepresented, and the lack of academic integrity in using it had negative consequences for the company.
REFERENCES

https://www.proquest.com/scholarly-journals/impact-academic-integrity-on-workplace-ethical/docview/2355784198/se-2

Do you consider yourself to be a high or low context communicator? Explain why and give a few examples to illustrate your answer.

I think of myself as a communicator with low context. This means that I like my communications to be easy to understand obvious, and explicit. For instance, I provide precise instructions like, "John, could you write the introduction? "when we are working on a group project. Can you do the research, Sarah? I'll write the epilogue." Everyone is aware of exactly what needs to be done in this way.

I give a lot of information when I'm explaining something to prevent confusion. For example, when I invite friends to a study session, I say, "Let's meet on Saturday at 3 PM in the second floor study room at the library." Bring your notes and math textbook with you. That way, everyone will be aware of the what, when, and where to bring.

In order to ensure that everyone is aware of the same information, I also prefer to put things in writing, whether through emails or texts. I might send an email following a group meeting summarizing our discussions and outlining each person's next steps.

In conclusion, using low-context communication ensures that my messages are understood by all parties, which is crucial in educational settings where effective communication can have a significant impact.
