Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Allowing God to be your guide begins with a commitment to trust. God cannot lead you where you will not follow.

Tells us how he never fails us, we can trust in him even though we don't know what the futures has for us!

Aim: to build trust in the girls and learn the meaning of trust.

Groupings: in squads (if not enough squad members then combine squads.)

How to play:

1. the tables and chairs will be moved to the side of the classroom and gather in squads.

2. all the players will do a round of scissors-paper-stone to decide who will be the one doing the trust fall.

3. the chosen player will stand in the middle while the others will stand behind the chosen player in a form of a semi-circle.

4. the chosen player will cross her arms and close her eyes, trusting the other players.

5. lastly, the chosen member falls to the back while the other players support her.

other instructions:

1. if the players don't feel comfortable trying the game, they can forfeit from the game and help the others try instead.

2. before playing, tell the girls to move the tables to one side.

3. after playing, tell the girls to bring a chair, their pouch and a pen and move to the center of the classroom.

4. do a short debrief about the game's theme :building trust in the team and link it to the topic: trusting in the Lord and pray that we can do well in our studies.

5. 1 of the chupa chups members will be allocated to each of the groups to facilitate the game throughout the ice breakers

• how does this game link back to the theme?

  By using holding hands as an example of a relationship, the girls are connected and the game teaches them that they would have to communicate and cooperate with each other in order not to let go of their relationship

Instructions: Get into groups of 4 but must have at least two different levels inside each group. Try to trick everyone with 3 statements about yourself. Two of them must be true and the third statement is a complete Lie. Everyone in the group will then vote on which statement about yourself is the lie

Instructions: Everyone is to sit in a circle and be able to see everyone. The game starts with a random member. This member tells their name and then the name of a thing. The second player, the one who sits on the right of the first player, states what the first player said and their name and the name of a thing. The third player tells both the first and second players names and things and then says their own. The player who cannot say are eliminated but can be redeemed when they remember all the names and things mentioned in the correct order.

Instructions:

• Arrange chairs in a circle with the seats facing outwards

• Have one chair less than the number of players participating

• Play the music and have the players walk around the perimeter of the chair circle. When the music stops, everyone must immediately sit in a chair. The one person left standing is out. Remove another chair and continue until only one person is left.

Instructions:

• Sit everyone in a circle

• Choose one person to be in the center of the circle. The person in the center gets the rolled-up newspaper.

• Then call out the name of a person. The person must call the name of another person in the circle BEFORE the person in the middle “Whacks” him with the newspaper (all hits must only be on the legs).

• If the person called another name, that person must then call a name, continuing until someone gets “whacked” before they call a name.

• When someone is “whacked” or makes a mistake, they must move to the center of the circle. The person who just came out of the circle begins the next round by calling a name.
