My pupils are more and less getting smartphones so I would adress a question on what they would like their device to do for them and how they can make It happen with in 10 years by learning fun stuff. There are also lot of inspiring videos beeing made every month.

ICT has been tought in all grades at schools in Iceland since around 2000 but now we are talking about digital literacy and I've resently got in interested in codeing.

For the last 8 years I've been a maths teacher, teaching pupils age 13-16. Before I'd been teaching all subjects in a elementary school, sports and also keep fit classes and ballet classes. since 1977.

I've, as far as I can remember, been interested in technology but more lately wanted to go further by learning and understanding programming.

I'm really looking forward to work on this course.

I've been using this idea of driver and navigator an changing roles after some time. Specially in the beginning as they are likely to be more able to find solutions to problems as well as the collaboration makes the work more enjoyably Later on they can be challenge to create their own work.

In my school there is no differece in useing ICT and computers but when IT comes to choosing programming I got 2 girls to 8 boys. I was quite surprised. These two are enjoying the programming as much as the boys so maybe I should try to offer a special girls programming nex time.

I've mainly been linking computing to Maths. My pupils have been working projects in eTwinning s.a. taking pictures of 2D or 3D forms around school and drawing the form in Geogebra as well as designing tilings after getting to know M.C. Echer also in geogebra. Resently I gave them the oppertunity to select the way they worked on showing their knowledge on a content they just finished. I got Prezi and PowerPoint presentation as before but also this time 3 short films. Now I'd like to send them on a treasure hunt linked to math useing ipads with different apps f.ex. to read QR and augmented app.

Working with robots and computing is very related to math. We are using in both subject distance, angels and turnings, time, and to language they can interact in a specific language.

We do not have any robots in my school. But I have tried scrath with my students and that is moveing in 2D world. Not as nice as robot in 3D world but the next to best :-)

I made a game for my Grand-daughters in Scratch jr. Were they were the main characters and they were playing with a wizard that greeted them and disappeared.

In Iceland we have SAFT -comunity, family, tecnology that is designed to help both grown ups and children to be safe on the internet.

I used to do blog sides with my pupils and they used to have their own blogs but it's not any more. Now FB is used and they use instagram alot. Lately I've been useing Padlet with my pupils.

Most searching is done with google or bing.

Here is our SAFT material for pupils árg 13-15 in Englis (Prezi).

I think we start very early as parents to talk to our children not to sprakk to strangers. It would then be appropriate for teachers to start as children start to go to school.
