They want to keep the movie’s entertaining so they used myths while others use myths to advertise to help with marketing the product and helping sell the product.

I would say every culture and religion have there own myths for the reasons that each have different beliefs and there own way of understanding. Each culture have different perspectives as well and see things differently.

One myth I heard was about Hercules and the twelve labors the lesson was about perseverance, problem solving, redemption, and overcoming challenges.

We find understanding culture the most important of the four listed reasons. Understanding the roots of the myths helps to understand past and present cultures. Understanding that leads to more understanding of humans and furthers the connection.

I believe it’s can be either or, entertainment because myths explain more natural events, human behaviors. And education because it shows us different understanding with things.

percyjackson is a show and it has many Greek gos within the show. These god have many different personality traits and just the way they act is different. Many Greek gods in the show are mostly rue and direct. The show hold many more Greek stories that are super interesting.

I think mythology is made for entertainment. I think this because mythology could help with human creativity and allow them to think more. It involves things like hero’s of gods which is interesting and that’s why some movies use mythology to entertain the veiwers.

It could be used in movies or games as a way to have an interesting storie that has been created and just be changed to be more interesting in today’s standards. And in advertisement it could be used to show what they’re trying to achieve or when they get popular they’re brand might come up first instead of the god when you search for it

Mythology can be seen as both entertainment and education. This is because many stories were used to entertain the people of their time by describing complex stories and ideals. Although it may also be seen as education through the perspective give of teaching us and others what they used to believe in and worship.

Myths are still used today. The article used the example of Wonder Woman— which is my favorite super hero movie. I did see there will be a version of the Oddesy in theaters this summer—I will be interested to this as well

We believe that understanding culture is the most important reason to study myths. Foremost because its a lens to look at history through, the way a nation worked, their ethical beliefs and their cultural understanding of the world, as-well as its truly a structure to understand the evolution of a nation/culture through decades to millennia, and how in that time their culture changed.

One myth that I’ve heard is King Midas. He wished that everything he touched would turn to gold. The lesson is be careful what you wish for because he eventually couldn't even eat foods or hug his daughter without turning them into gold

One myth I've heard is the story of Medusa. A lesson this story might teach is not to judge a person by their appearance because it is unfair. It also shows that fear can be misunderstood and may lead to cruelty instead of understanding.
