Drums, Guitar, claps, amongst other musical tools in a score use there unique sounds layered on top of each other.  This is the same across the board as vocals are sampled over each other over and over in order to get a unique sound. The work of Ratliff suggests that this skill is vital however, it is mastered over time. If this skill isn't mastered and is used on a score it will do more harm than foul, as it will not gain the attention of the audience in the way that is favorable. This song exemplifies closeness because it used layered voice and instruments in the form of stacked samples. This allows for the the song to be more cinematic and in this case chaotic, in turn allows for the song to give off an upbeat pathos to the audience.

Closeness, is used when Kanye stacks his vocals and instruments over each other in order to create a unique sound that would be otherwise lost. In this song specifically layers a sample from a gospel song on top of a hiphop track, while simultaneously synthesizing his voice singing. This allows for a unison of sound from multiple sources, which in turn create something unique and new.
