         <description><![CDATA[<div>enjambment used throughout the poem slows down the pace of the poem, adding a mysterious and creepy effect especially with dictions related to horror like “ Ghost” and “ Assassin”.&nbsp;<br>I think that the persona seems to be associating his mind with danger and threat so much so he is afraid to confront his thoughts, seems to be running away from them.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think that:&nbsp;<br>The thing that hurts / sabotages is the most is ourselves: our own mind. Especially in a dark, quiet and lonely place.&nbsp;<br><br>FIRST STANZA:<br>- the mind is a place that we exist in&nbsp;<br>- the multiple dashes throughout the poem: her thoughts are super overwhelming I. Her own mind,, like broken sentences and broken thoughts.&nbsp;<br><br>SECOND STANZA:<br>- external threat is less dangerous than that if the threat of our own thoughts&nbsp;<br>- “confronting”: suggest the need of bravery to confront our own thoughts&nbsp;<br><br>FOURTH STANZA:<br>- We should be most afraid of ourselves&nbsp;<br>- “assassin”: people who hides then attacks / sabotages in the dark, in a sneaky way&nbsp;<br>- “our apartment”: a place where we live and are most comfortable in.&nbsp;<br>- irony of having a assassin in our apartment&nbsp;<br><br>LAST STANZA:<br>- closes themselves in the house = alone with their mind&nbsp;<br>- “bolts the door”: protected agains the external threats but stuck with their mmind.&nbsp;<br>- “superior spectre”: our minds are like a dangerous and unknown place that is difficult to understand and comprehend. And in fact may be ‘more’ than what we expect it to be</div>]]></description>
