In my middle school, the IT environment is limited to 3 classrooms out of 5. These 3 classrooms have 1 ethernet plug which connects 1 computer (used just by the teachers) to the Internet connection. 2 classrooms remain without the internet connection. $ classrooms out are provided an IWB, 1 has got just a blackboard with no computer. Wi-fi is not available, or at least the signal is so weak that without a cable nothing works. As a teacher, I really would like my school to become more keen on IT, so to improve the possibilities either for ther teacher and for the students.

We connect to Internet through fiberoptics provided by national academic ISP. Effective speed is around 80 Mbps. Network is protected from outside access by firewall. I personally have the most problems configuring some apps used in programming for outside access through filtering ISA server which I don't manage. Also half of the computer in school are connected through ethernet and other half through wireless which tends to act up sometimes and that's because there is a lot of cheap equipment spread out through school. There is no bring-your-own-device in our school, beacuse infrastructure couldn't handle it probably.

Our school network is connected to the Internet via Optima (the central school building) and via CARNet(protected internet connection) in the informatic classroom which gives us quite a good speed and a good amount of safety. In the ICT labs (informatic classroom) we have access switches connected via copper uplinks to the server. We have a problem with wireless connectivity because of buildings construction (a lot of iron in the walls). Students don't have access to the network - the wireless network is protected by passwords. The network which is used in the informatic classrom is protected from CARNet (students can't serach some websites). The main challange is to get the fast internet connection and to enable the wireless connectivty for all students and to learn how to set up the protection of the network and to limit the download for the devices that will be connected.

There is quite a mess in our existing school network because of several ISP's present and different network infrastructures. Wired network was constantly being repaired and "patched" without planned schematics, so nobody knows what previous contractor did. New project "e-Schools" improved the situation by introducing fiber optics with speed up to 40-50 Mbps, and WAPs (Meraki) throughout entire school, in each classroom. But, old, existing network remained unsolved. Protection is implemented by CARNet and managed through Meraki dashboard (allowed to IT Technician, hired by county). Access is granted to teachers and students with AAI@EduHr identity. The main problem is constant "braking" of the connectivity, losing the signal, which disables entire school (temporarily, but still...).

In my school, we connect to the Internet by wire and also WIFI.
Network in our school is a big mess. We have several ISP’s, and no one knows what exactly is going on. A wired network is constantly being repaired… but I think it is only getting worse, because they are connected new things, and patching it up without anyone knowing what the real problem is. The connection is always barking and the signal is poor. WIFI connection is poor because everyone has passwords to connect. Protection from outside access is provided by Canute. In few words, it is bad.

I could say it's a good speed.Net connection nowadays is almost ok. There was moments when it doesn't work, but a specialist from a certain company came and resolved the problems. In my school are two ways at connection to net: wifi and cable. The principal put a password to protect the school network from outside access. The main challange in using network connectivity is the electricity. If the electricity goes down and something important is going to happen in a day like an important event, if this doesn't exist it's hard to face this.

We have optical CARNet connection with 100 Mb/s organised in two sections, one for main computer lab, and other for all the rest computers. Apart from main computer lab, used strictly for ICT teaching, we have four computer labs for students, which can be used by every teacher. In each classroom, we have laptop and projector, and three of them have smartboards.
All computers are connected in LAN network, used for sharing files, printers and internet connection. We also have WiFi, distributed with ceiling managers connect with router, one for each classroom, office and in main corridors. We use WiFi just for teacher's smartphones and few laptops that don't have LAN nearby. The total count of computer is now near 70, so you can imagine all that traffic, but for now we didn't have many problems, because professionals have made starting setup, and we still use their support, although I would like to learn more and eliminate most of the problems on my own.

Our connection is password protected and is firewalled centrally by the Irish government agency PDST. Out network is changing and developing over time as we introduce a computer lab, then station teaching laptops, then iPads and now we're looking at introducing Chromebooks to our ICT infrastructure to enrich learning and facilitate differentiation in our classrooms.

There is a Central server that is the responsible to maintain and update all the severs at schools. Nowdays the network connection is changing for an optical fibre which works better than the previous one. Also we´ve got 3 wireless point at school. The connectivity speed is 100 mbps. The main challenge we face in dealing with network is that we are in a mountain area and every time we´ve got bad conditions weather (storm, heavy rain, electrical storm, etc...) the network go down and we never know when it is going to work again.

We have four computer cabinets with 10 computers. Mobile devices are little represented in teaching. This practically means that besides accessing the Internet (which is free for all students), schools now have the ability to use numerous AMRES services, such as web proxies, DNS hosting, traffic filtering, VPN, domain registration, and many others. For pupils, but also for school employees, the most attractive service is certainly eduroam. This popular AMRES service allows you to completely use wi-fi internet in all educational institutions in Serbia and around the world!

We also have 3 Wi-Fi zones with average bandwidth which cover some classrooms so we can use only some tablets at a time. The school doesn't have a server, however every computer study has. The majority of classrooms have Smart TV and a laptop, however there are only 4 Smartboards, so if a teacher needs to use a Smartboard, we try to make some changes in the schedule that is sometimes is a challenge.

We had 2 server, one for email and another for files. 3 years ago we change to google education and email server was turn off. Our management school students and financial system are in the cloud, only 1 rest in our server but we want to allocate in the cloud to. The problems that I have with the servers disappeared and my hard work too. Now we have optical fiber connectivity 400 Megas dedicated only to our 4 campus and the wifi was centralise in our server provider. We have 4 campus in different places and all are connected. We have 4 WLANS (administration, teachers, fourtgradth students, students and guest). We have one firewall in our server provider and another is physical with us. In addition the firewall we have MDM (Mobile device management) that filters the students Ipad's. In the firewall we block some sites for each wlan.

The network of mobile devices connects to Internete using two lines with access to the INTERNET up to 100 Mbps, Fiber To The Cabinet (the real speed is just over 50 Mbps in download).
We have installed three routers, some switches, a server for the educational and administrative network, a server for the electronic registry (hereinafter RE), a firewall, a server backup device, several access points that guarantee access to the network WiFi in every classroom and common area.
We have two LANs (one for administration and the other for educational activities) and a WLAN. Each user accesses the LAN using his own account that allows him to work in all the laboratories and classrooms of the school (students and teachers). Access to the WiF network requires an access key. All personal devices (students and teachers) and those of the school (for access to the RE) are registered. Teachers navigate without limitation, students are enabled to navigate by the teacher. For non-registered guests we have a WLAN with time access.
