Here is a painting I did responding to Tamaras work. I made sure to use acrylic along with pencil to highlight the paint which i thought was good practice in life like paintings.

I gathered some primary photos to use for my project using different angles and view points of women. I enjoy the full body photos and side profiles and I think they show beauty, confidence and body positivity along with emotion which it the route I decided to go down for this project.

I began to plan on what I should do for my final piece. I knew I wanted it to stand out as much as possible whilst holding vibrant colors and showing womens bodys in a confident careless way.

This was one idea, however I felt it diddnt show womens confidence/positivity well however I liked my idea with the black circle to make the drawing more bold.

I thought up a second idea of what to do for my final piece which also I clouded bold circles but this time circling the body showing boldness and positivity withing yourself along with kiss marks. I also included a cigarette to show carelessness for other peoples opinions as long times ago women smoking wasn't seen as a thing to be proud of. I preferred the design for this final piece as it highlighted body positivity and confidence of women over time every well. I wanted this to be in pen, acrylic and on wood. Also including my body lino prints in the background.

I used this laminating sheet to draw my female design which I also used inspiration from the angles of people in my primary photos, to project onto my slab of wood but in a much larger scale.

This was my final product and I was so happy with how it turned out and think I was able to show my theme well. I also made extra details to make different points of the piece stand out more such a a circle around the cigarette.

For this project, I chose the revolution of women for my theme as their are alot of different paths I could go down with this idea and its always been an interest of mine to create work about. For example, body positivity, womens rights etc. I researched different artists such as Mickaline Thomas and Tamara De Lempika to give me different ideas within this theme id like to go down whilst also experimenting with different artists mediums such as collage, acrylic and oil paintings ect. After research, I chose to stick with evolution within the confidence and beauty standards of women. I wanted to try and express this through mediums such as clay work, lino prints and screen printing as well as sketches and painting to see how I can make my work stand out and express this idea as much as possible. I felt I succeeded to express my theme well throughout this project, experimenting with many mediums and putting those together to create my final standing piece which I made sure included the mediums I was also most confident in using.
