I think we should use these same methods for this case, the forensic investigation being led by Mr. Church (but with someone else by his side maybe videotaping just to make sure nobody alters the results) and the interrogation should be led by Mr. Knox. Mr Church should make sure to collect samples of fingerprints and other material evidence to test. Mr. Knox should begin the interrogation by discussing with each Team 8 teacher, then gradually to other teachers and staff/faculty until either the culprit is found/confesses or we have a pretty good idea of who might have stolen the Elixir of Life. Unfortunately, Mr. Church seems to be a main suspect alongside Mr. Coogan, so while we are not sure if they can be trusted, Mr. Church should follow through with the investigation and have multiple witnesses and perhaps even someone recording (as said above). At this point, it is not impossible that multiple people are responsible for committing the crime and helping cover up the truth. Personally, I suspect Mr. Coogan and Mr. Church assisting each other somehow, where Mr. Coogan did the deed and Mr. Church provided him with the tools he needed and together, they hide the truth of what happened that night. Edit: I just wanted to add on to my theory that both Mr. Coogan and Mr. Church are responsible for the theft. While some might argue that Mr. Church wearing the purple gloves provide no significance (if the thief was Mr. Coogan as most people think), I think that even if Mr. Church was not the one who stole the recipe he at least assisted the person who did. In the first video, there is no clip of the thief entering any other room before going into Mr. G's (aside from banging into Kenneth's open locker, which should also be analysed), which does not eliminate the possibility that he got those gloves in advance from Mr. Church. Adding on, finding purple gloves identical to the ones in Mr. Church's room (shown in the second episode) are definitely not your every day go-to gloves for stealing important artefacts (basically, it's unlikely somebody would have those exact gloves). However, the rip in the glove supports the idea that Mr. Church was not the thief who physically stole the recipe, because a science teacher who deals with all kinds of experiments would not be as careless as to proceed the robbery with a rip in his glove. Additionally, even though Mr. Church claims he will help Mr. G in analysing all of the evidence at the crime scene, there is possibility that he will try to cover up for his ally Mr. Coogan by editing the results. Mr. Coogan and Mr. Church were also acting very suspiciously when confronted by Mr. G compared to the other team 8 teachers (Mr. Knox and Mrs. Kim). Mr. Church jumped into denying the possibility that he could have stolen the elixir, while Mr. Coogan's body language seemed nervous for someone as confident as him. Mr Church may be telling the truth- he was not the one who stole the elixir. But that does not mean he didn't assist someone else in doing so. There is already strong evidence that Mr. Coogan committed the robbery. To quote an anonymous grade 8 student, "you can see that in one of the home science videos, Mr. Coogan wore the same sweater as the criminal." Along with even more useful evidence that this student provided us with, all of the above mention just adds on to this theory. To add on, Mr. Church must be aware of how big his impact is on finding the truth of this investigation, so if he knows that he is trusted with all this power, he might decide to take advantage of this supremacy to help cover up Mr. Coogan's crime. Mr. Church even holds the title of the "Legend" by his fellow team 8 members. What might motivate him to agree in helping Mr. Coogan steal the almighty Elixir of Life that Mr. G cherishes so greatly? As we have seen in the second episode, Mr. G caught Mr. Church teaching a chemistry class to a room full of inanimate objects, as if they were students (he gave them names, asked for their cooperation unironically, and talked to them as if they were real people). Every science class, Mr. Church takes some time in his day to film "Walk to Work" videos, explaining the task for the day and then adding small mementos like "it's really empty on the eighth grade floor, we miss you." I think that Mr. Church is so deprived of not seeing/teaching his students twice per day during school for almost an entire month that he has slowly begun to lose his mind. The videos, while descriptive of the task for class, can be interpreted as one of his limited ways in attempt to connect with his students. Basically, he misses his students so much that he's going crazy. As for Mr. Coogan's motive? Still unsure about this, but maybe there is a rivalry between him and Mr. G. Maybe he was always jealous that Mr. G was blessed with this drink that gave him so much health that even Mr. Coogan could not maintain, even with all of his athletic hobbies. That, or there is even a possibility that Mr. Church manipulated Mr. Coogan into doing his bidding so that while Mr. Coogan would steal the recipe and share it with Mr. Church, Mr. Church was mostly safe from being a suspect since if Mr. Coogan betrayed Mr. Church he could easily expose him using the results from the forensic investigation. However, this is all just a theory, and whatever happens in the next video could completely eliminate this possibility.

I think so far most people trying to solve the mystery have a mindset that it is one single person who committed the crime. Most people probably think this because in the videos, only one person is seen stealing the recipe and then later using it in attempt to conjure their own elixir. However, a lot of people suspect Mr. Church and Mr. Coogan, but most people usually decide on only one person to target as the prime suspect, which is completely valid, but I just think that we should try to look at all possibilities from all angles (even if it proves to be incorrect). In the end, it might be just one person, or the entire MS staff. There is always more to the story than people often realise, and I really think that this theory is completely possible or at least a clue to finding the truth.

He may have been acting rather suspiciously but I think that he has just gone mad. In the most recent episode, we see Mr. Church teaching a bunch of inanimate objects chemistry. He is also visibly upset when the basketball whom he has named Wilson doesn't participate in class. This suggests that Mr. Church isn't in the healthiest of mental states. Genuinely believing that a toy has any knowledge whatsoever on the interactions of atoms as well as thinking that said toy will respond to questions if it is just scolded enough, is deeply concerning regarding Mr. Church's mental state. I, therefore, believe that Mr. Church should not be allowed to help in the investigation. If he thinks he can talk to basketballs, he is not fit for forensics science. Before Mr. Church forensically investigated the scene, evidence could have been planted to frame a teacher. The results aren't out yet, so we can only assume things.
Mr. Church has been showing signs of mental instability (teaching non-living objects). This also may be an act that he is playing off to use some reverse psychology. However, Mr. Coogan (or the thief) may have drugged him or done something to his mind that drove him to this state. Mr. Church could have also been threatened by Mr. Coogan and is acting insane because of PTSD.
Mr. Church, when he has the results of the investigation, might edit them because if he is the assistant of Mr. Coogan (or the criminal), he would try and cover up for him or protect him. He could also edit the results because there may be some of his hair/fingerprints in the evidence he collected. 
In ep2, only purple gloves were shown by both Mr. Coogan and Mr. Church. However, in ep1, Mr. Coogan was wearing a different pair that was also a different color (had a hole in it). This may lead others off into the wrong direction thinking that Mr. Church did not help or assist Mr. Coogan, but this also may be a false trail. 
When we first took the survey, many students voted for Mr. Church to analyze the scene. However, Mr. Coogan's was just sniffing out some clues. That is also sus because while the other teachers have a very detailed description of what they would do to help solve it, Mr. Coogan's is very simple. 
Mr. Coogan has more motive because he is not a core class teacher. He may have stolen it because he wanted to "be like" Mr. G and achieve youth from the Elixir. He is also most likely to not notice a hole in his glove (ep 1), while Mr. Church is because he is a science teacher and knows a lot about robberies.
