The national pandemic affected everyone in a different way, but me having to go into quarantine completely switched my personality. I knew my bestfriend a year before we really became friends. I  remember vividly disliking her a year previously because my bestfriend at the time disliked her. In 7th grade we had two classes together and became friends with her. Before the media covered his story I wasn't as educated as I am now about systematic racism in America, but when George Floyd's death blew up on the media it really opened my eyes, and I became so much more involved in BLM. His death affected me in a way no death yet has. My Best friend's dog in 8th grade became pregnant and I wanted a dog for so long, so when her dog gave birth I took one of the puppies. I would go to her house after school to help take care of my dog. I met Julia at the beginning of sophomore year. Alyssa is my cousin I hadn't seen in 4 years and she was visiting her dad in Houston. Since her dad lived close to us she visited me every week and stayed for weeks at a time.
