From the first motorized transportation to the invention of the internet. The first telegraphs and phone to a cell phone. The rifle to fight Indians with to now we have drones that we can fight the enemy with. Our country is very rich in knowledge, and it encourages the use of that knowledge, and helps you with free enterprise. Our government does not force you to give them your knowledge for their use. For over 200+ years the United States has followed the Constitution that was created by a small group of people that had a vision for something bigger than just themselves. The Preamble of the United States Constitution is only one sentence in length. "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." This one sentence has eight action verbs within it and the first six mandate the duties and limits of our commitment. The first six (form, establish, insure, provide, promote, secure) represent EVERY Americans responsibility, but it really speaks to the commitment of the 1-2% of Americans (Military Service Members, Teachers, Police Officers, Fire Fighters ect ect ect…) we make regardless of our personal or professional pursuits. We must meet (or strive to meet) these six on a continuous basis. In the end as citizens and service members we are either givers or takers--we cannot be both. The military is a 100% volunteer force that is composed of less than 1% of the Nation’s population. Teachers work for the satisfaction that they are creating and developing the minds of tomorrow, they work countless hours because they care, and wages are not their priority. In America everyone has a right to vote for people who share the same values and standards. America is also rich in trading, how else would we get all of the great technology we have today? Being able to trade also means we are sharing our strengths with others and they are sharing their strengths with us.

While a lot of that seems left in the dust, you can still see glimmers of that everywhere. When disaster hits and people swarm in to help those losing everything, when driving down a road and a homeless person receives help from a passerby, or when our very religious freedoms are attacked; people try to work together to defend their faith. People still have a vision of a bigger and better life. People are still kind hearted and strive to serve each other. In America we have religious freedom that allows us to believe in or not believe in what we want. We have the freedom to be ourselves and speak out against or for what's right.  We also have freedom of food choice. We got doughnuts.
