Having good confidence can be seen as a good character trait. It shows people you're enthusiastic and you like making friends. Having too much confidence can lead to your status receding quickly as people may see you as annoying. But always remember, being yourself can also set a good impression on you!

Mitch Brockman from the story popularity is a prime example. He's the "jester" of the group. He has no other job than to make the same Weiner mobile stories and jokes to make people laugh. When he calls out the narrator for his shorts, he seems pompous in this state. When he gets called out for the color choice of his outfit, his confidence drops quickly and he becomes insecure. His popularity was temporary.

Sean Owens from the story popularity is a great example. He has his attention and popularity by doing what he loves. No one judges him and he's very humble. He is the exact type of boy that the boys would like to be at the school. He's basically a triumphant leader in the grade since everyone likes him and follows in his footsteps.

Having confidence is great. The way you portray it changes people's impressions. Being humble and leader-like can show a good first impression on others. It signals that "oh this is what a leader is" or "I wanna be like them!". Being ignorant and egotistical can signal "ew they're weird and annoying" or "what a selfish and bratty person". You can be known for a bad thing so, be respectful and show leadership in any chance you have.

In Egypt, Kids would have popular friend groups in their class or grades. In my case, I wasn't popular since i was black and had a darker complection. When I was in Wisconsin, I went to a majority white school since it was nearby. I was seen as weird or like something out of this world. They even asked dumb questions like "Whats my name in arabic" i don't even speak arabic 😭
