My review of unit 1 readings has given a better understanding of this course and the research process. It has also placed me on a good foundation to move forward. I gathered that to carry out a successful research, knowledge of the research process is critical. Success also depends on taking structured steps, employing the right methodologies and selecting the most appropriate research type for a given research problem. It is also important to have a clear understanding of some key terms in the research process such as: theory, hypothesis, unit of analysis and variables: dependent and independent. 

Unfortunately, I missed the deadline for unit 1’s assignment; however, I still intend to complete it for what it’s worth. Padlet was new to me; however, with its clear and simple instructions, I found it very easy to use. Our Course Co-ordinator and e-Tutor cannot be faulted as they continue to provide guidance with frequent and timely posts and updates. My feet are back on the pedals as I commit to finishing this race strong.
