Reasoning: Since the moment of introduction in the early chapters, the repeated phrase "straight from the horse's mouth" has made a great impression of the director and thought it may seem childing but with context of the ignorance he has for his world and the people living in it and his money/ power hunger is welly described with the emoji as well. The three folds represent the cycle of life (life-death-rebirth) which I believe is a process Benard trying to find as his 'life' have been decided by a caste system that did not benefit him, who is an alpha but his physical was 'hardly better than the average Gamma' (pg55).
