Jun explored Capacity at the water tray. He was able to use pre taught Mathematical vocabulary (empty, full, half full, half empty) to describe his findings. He extended his learning by finding out how many spoons of water he needed to fill up the big cup.

Eunje demonstrated her research skills when she walked around the K1 learning area and collected data on how others travel to school. She recorded her findings on a tally chart. After collecting the data with adult support she interpreted her  data. She applied her prior knowledge of one to one correspondence when counting to tally up the data.

Hannah and Felice worked collaboratively when they  sort, describe and name 2D shapes. The children extended their knowledge by creating patterns using the 2D shapes.
