I began teaching in 2003 as a substitute teacher in local public schools while I earned my teaching credential at night through California State University, San Marcos. It was worthwhile to experience many grade levels and school sites.

I began full time in my own classroom in 2005. I taught at a public charter school from 2005-2012 as a sixth grade teacher, then as science lab instructor.

Following the science lab position, I spent two years as an independent studies/homeschool teacher at a local public charter school. 

Recently, I have been a private piano teacher for all ages of students. All the while, I am part time homeschooling two of my own children.

In my free time, I hang out with my four kids (ages 12, 9, 4, and 1) and husband.     Work samples must include: 
    • students full name written by the student
    • date within the learning period, preferrably not on a weekend or holiday
    • grade or mark given by parent or teacher

    TK-8th Grade: Select one work sample from either Math, Reading, Science, or Social Studies.

    High School: Students will submit one work sample from each course they are currently enrolled in including duel enrollement college courses.
