I admired the contrast between the colourful sky, and what appeared to be a black-and-white highway so I made my passenger take a picture. Later, we looked at it more closely and had so many questions. Why did the sky look like this in the middle of the day? Would this be considered a sunset despite the sun not setting? Why are clouds red/pink during sunsets? It just looked very surreal seeing how small Blue Mountain looks like far away at night with the lights shining down the hill. I wondered how the hills would look if all the lights were lit? This only caught my attention because of the lights shining bright on the hill, would I have noticed how small the hills looked if there wasn't bright lights around the hill or even with the snow on the ground contrasting against the dark ground? Then I wondered since I am not familiar with winter sports and this was taken in Blue Mountain, I wondered how they decide where to place fake snow on which hills as the entirety of Blue Mountain is not covered in snow and not all of the hills were at standards to ski or snowboard on? I try to make sure I sit on the side of the train that passes the water. Questions for me is - is this water safe for swimming, is it polluted by the houses, businesses, etc that surround it? Do people fish in this water? Why are the train tracks so close? Do people find this disruptive?

It is interesting how some plants begin growing and coming to life when it is still winter, but almost all other plants wait until May. I wonder why some plants flourish in these conditions, while others cannot. Children may see snowbells and inquire about what makes plants bloom, when, and where.
