Peter is writing to Jewish Christian exiles. We were given the gift of the death of Christ, and through our faith in him, we will have to go through various trials and rejoice because this is only a test to make our faith stronger. As a believer, you may doubt and ask yourself, "God, how do I become the kind of person who can love you for your own sake?" The answer is through trials and tribulations, and sometimes those trials and tribulations God is testing your faith not only to make your faith stronger but also to teach you to lean on him more therefore making your relationship with him closer. Everyone has an obligation to each other; everyone belongs to each other. We should all treat each other with kindness and love. This passage represents the Moral sense. One question I would like to ask Father Mike is when our prayer is dry, when we feel like the Spirit or God is not with us, if we sin in those times, how can we change from that point on, what can we do better when we ask for forgiveness. Day 352: Purified by Fire — The Bible in a Year (with Fr. I can apply this verse to my everyday life by respecting everybody. I can do this in school or when I'm out with my friends. I can treat everybody kindly and not spread hate.
