Alfie’s photography captures the beauty and wonder of the natural world, offering a unique perspective shaped by his experiences as an autistic individual. His work and story inspire us to see the world differently and appreciate the strengths and talents that come with neurodiversity.

Diagnosed with autism, Alfie faced challenges in school and social situations but found connection and inspiration through animals and photography. Today, he says: “After many years of social exclusion as a result of my autism, I have finally found my calling. I am a dreamer, and I am living my dream.”

Alfie’s journey highlights the creativity, resilience, and unique perspectives that autistic people bring to the world. This event is a chance to celebrate neurodiversity, be inspired by his story, and gain a deeper understanding of the autistic experience.

Who should attend?

This event is open to anyone with an interest in autism, including autistic individuals, families, carers, teachers, health and social care professionals, and community members.

The atmosphere will be relaxed and inclusive, providing a space to learn, share experiences, and gain a better understanding of the autistic perspective.

We'd like to meet families who want to come together regularly for hikes, nature play, den building, campfires and more.

We will meet at the cafe at 10am and go for a walk, stopping along the way to play and explore and then enjoy the big play area at the end. Some families may wish to bring a picnic.

We are pleased to announce that the North Northants SEND Annual Surveys 2026 are now live.

The surveys provide an important opportunity for families and young people to share their experiences of SEND support and services across education, health and social care within North Northamptonshire.

Feedback gathered through the surveys helps us better understand what is working well, where improvements have been made, and where further development is still needed. Following the survey, a full report will be produced and published. This year’s findings will also be evaluated and compared with previous survey reports to help identify improvements, ongoing challenges and any declines across different service areas.
