In 1609 CE Chief Powhatan made an attack on Jamestown after promising to trade with them. They would kill livestock, burn down crops, and obviously people. Powhatan said he couldn't control them and there was nothing that they could do about it now. Over the next couple years the English just kept pounding them. More towns more villages, as well as search and destroy raids to get money food and whatever else they could ravage up from them.
