So Alex's girlfriend says "i love you" to her, and Alex doesnt know how to react b/c she's too scared to do it, so she doesn't respond, which obviously makes her girlfriend upset. Her girlfriend starts to second guess their entire relationship, saying that the whole time Alex has never been fully committed and doesnt know how to be in a relationship. And this makes Alex realize that was never fully committed to their relationship but she really does love this girl, and wants to prove it to her. The next chapter is in Molly's perspective, and it's about how nervous she is to leave for college because shes very introverted, she doesn't have friends. When she gets to college she gets put in a single, and in her mind that means she lost the one chance she had at making at least one friend. Her since the start of high school, Cora, also goes to that uni, and she's the complete opposite of Molly. Molly has literally been in love with this girl for many years and has never gotten the courage to speak to her, and she hopes to get over her fear.
