Hello! X-Z-H-Y-R-A-H is my name. Xzhyrah D. Adlaon in exact. The reason behind that was when my father tried to get his passport or fly to another country, he was always hit by the NBI clearance even though he didn't do anything wrong. I know it's complicated as it seems, but yes! that's my name. I'm 16 years old and was born on June 5, 2008, in Bilar, Bohol. I'm the type of person who's very energetic, and even though there are a lot of problems in life, I just look into the other side of it.

My favorite color is blue because it's pleasing to my eyes, and I like things that are cute and simple at the same time. Fun fact about me: whenever you buy a dessert like ice cream and ask me for the flavor, I immediately answer, "CHOCOLATE!" That's how I love chocolates.

In this location, let me share with you the things I do besides academics. I know how to sing, dance, and play the bass, the drums, the lyre, and the piano. I am thankful because God gave me talents and skills to acquire and use these talents to help in any kind of activity. Currently, I am using these talents to serve God and the church, not to impress people around me but to use these to glorify and grow with Him.

Part of my identity is being a tamper. I used the tambourine as an instrument to perform in our church and in another church for competition and presentation when there's a youth fellowship. I also teach young children to share their talents in this kind of ministry.

One of the things that I like is helping people, especially children. I go through a lot of mission exposure; we travel to different places to assist and give school supplies, rice, and other materials that many people lack. Also, whenever there's an event in our church, I really volunteer to help rather than stay doing nothing. Whenever I do this, I reflect that I'm so blessed and grateful for what I have today.

Let me share with you that I am very active and energetic when it comes to sports. Way back in my junior high school years, I played basketball, volleyball, and futsal in our intramurals to just have a representative from our section. It was quite funny because even though I'm unfamiliar with playing basketball and futsal, I just joined for the sake of our section. Additionally, I'm an orange belter in Karate Martial Arts, and I also know how to play badminton but stopped because of the tight schedules. Overall, it was a fun and memorable moment.

These are my parents. My mother's name is Janyfe Adlaon, born on January 16, 1984, and my father's name is Nino Adlaon, born on April 3, 1984. Both of them are 40 years old. They both grew up in Bohol but moved to Davao for more work opportunities. My mother is very chill while my father's funny and serious at the same time. In this picture, we wore costumes from different tribes and nations because it was United Nations Sunday at our church. My parents really support me in doing things I like, and I am grateful for them.

As a digital native, we are bound with social media. These media platforms are the medium to communicate with other people without seeing them personally. Additionally, these platforms are tools to spread information and awareness. In my situation, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Loklok are some of the social media platforms that I have recently been using. With Facebook and TikTok, I can communicate with friends and scroll through many entertaining posts. There's Loklok, where I can watch high-quality movies for free. But Here's the thing. Does all the content of these platforms care for your well-being? For me, social media destroys my health. In a way, sometimes I'm too focused on watching movies, and I forget to eat. Most importantly, it affects my sleeping habits. Instead of going to bed early to sleep, I tend to scroll down in my Facebook account or TikTok without realizing it's already dawn.

I realized that these platforms also destroy our health, whether it's physical, psychological, or emotional health. What we consume from these platforms mold us to who we are today. Social Media destroys thousands of lives because of leaked issues, scams, misinformation, involvement in pornography, and such, which significantly affects the health of many. So, as digital citizens, we should be aware of what we consume and not be easily swayed by these persuasive platforms. Remember, think before you click!
