At the age of 8, she moved to America with her parents and 5 siblings to escape drought, famine, and war. From oldest to youngest her siblings' names are: Asli, Mohamed, Johara, Halima, Awes, and Suleiman. When her family settled in Erie PA, Halima started formalized schooling in the 3rd grade. The first 2 years of her high school career were spent at East High and was completed at Central Tech in the Nursing program. Through Central, she worked for 3 hard years to receive her CNA licensing. She did CNA work throughout her first few years in College. Moving her growing family into their new Las Vegas home was one of the most enjoyable experiences of Halima's life. The family did some much-needed bonding, and the new surroundings promised a bright and optimistic future. It took 8 long years of hard work and dedication, but she earned her doctorate's degree in Pediatrics. She eventually worked her way up to be the attending physician at a family pediatric practice. After Halima started a family of her own, she decided to take her career to the next level and moved out to Las Vegas, Nevada.
