Admission to Swedish universities is through a certificate competition. University education consists of lectures, laboratory and practical exercises. The higher educational system in Sweden looks like this: 
  1. Education at the first pre-diploma stage: 
  •  after 2 years, the graduate receives a diploma on completion of his studies at the university; 
  •  in 3 years - bachelor's degree. 
  2. Training to achieve the level of specialization: 
  •  1 year of study - preparation for obtaining a master's degree; 
  • 2 years of study - master. 
    Admission to the second level is impossible without a pre-diploma degree. 
  •  Doctorate is the highest research level: 
  • After two years of study - the award of a licentiate degree (intermediate from bachelor to doctor);
  •  4 years - doctoral degree. 
    Postgraduate education takes place at universities that have research laboratories and other specialized departments in their structure.
