         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Shang religion was polytheistic, so they believed in many gods, some of which where nature gods. They also believed in the Yin/Yang as it represented the good and the bad about life. Very big about farming and most people were peasants.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Zhou dynasty had defeated the Shang in a war to take over their dynasty. They believed in feudism, so local areas would have their own leader, but that leader must be supportive of the one big ruler. They had also increased the economy drastically, finding ways to make cheap iron tools, and had the discovery of silk, which was very profitable for them.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Their leader had set in place an autocracy, where the government had no limits with what they could do. They heavily expanded on the transportation routes and made it quicker and easier to move around which would unite China. Legalism was very influential for them, and they thought that the most strict laws would ensure that no one would break them. Anyone who would go against this would be executed. They also would jail or execute anyone who would believe in Confucianism, which was people who thought they themselves could create a peaceful society.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Han tried to emphasize the Confucius ideas rather than try to silence them like the Qin. Their leader wanted it to be the main thing of China, and he was very liked for this. He would also go on to expand canals and roads, and would conquer more land through war. People would be allowed to test to be a leader of Confucianism, and would have more "power" than others. They had expanded on the agriculture in China, but trade was still the most important thing to them. They would keep producing silk which would let them thrive.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Mandate of Heaven was a cycle that people believed in for their leaders. It was thought to be that a leader would be chose, and he would prosper and become great, but then when heaven decided it was time for someone new, they would slowly start declining until someone new came in, and then this cycle would repeat. They believed Heaven chose their gods, and this is how many dynasties would come throughout their history.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is a time period in China where many different groups were at war to gain control, and eventually it would be the Qin that would win and reunite China. This was also important for Confucianism, as it would produce Meniscus. Many literature and new art came out as a result of all the wars and many depict how much more warfare became advanced during the time.</div>]]></description>
