A concept I'd like to learn is the more abstract, modern, or avant garde works in the painting field of the fine arts. There are so many different and thought-provoking pieces in our society today and it would be interesting how we would tackle how these pieces use perspective, space, Chiaroscuro, lighting, and the style of the artist.

Another concept I would like to learn about in painting is the use of more than just the brush and paint to create different kinds of painting artworks. The include those that integrate the other modes of illustrating, such as drawing and making parts of the painting 3-dimensional.

These would be interesting to discuss because of the numerous traditional styles of painting that we have discussed in class.

In painting, it isn't merely all about the interpretation of the paintings and the way it evokes different types of emotions from the viewers. Similar to every fine art, there is the technical aspect that is rarely discussed in normal conversation. These technical aspects are often overlooked as many choose to look at the image of the painting as a whole rather than the different components that made it.

One such technicality is the use of perspective. Through this, the artist uses the different dimensions and angles for the image to make it seem more life-like and balanced, in terms of how the different compositions in the paintings are balanced and positioned. It also helps depict the movement of the focal points in the painting, especially if the focal point is or are a group of people.

Another is the use of space. The use of space in paintings helps the eyes of the viewer to be directed to the important aspects of the painting. It also allows the viewer to know the body language and story in the painting through the use of the positioning of the people or items involves in the painting.

Another is the use of lighting and Chiaroscuro. Through this, the depth and drama of the image is well depicted by the painter. There is more substance and movement in the painting because of this technique.

Painting is the act of illustrating and conveying different ideas, concepts, people, and events through the use of a brush, a surface, and paint.

The materials used for painting include: 1) brushes of different sizes and uses; 2) a canvas, wooden panels, or any surface that the paint would work on; and 3) any type of paint (whether this is water-based or oil-based).

When one thinks of painting, many of what they imagine is the different renaissance and baroque paintings that they see in museums or churches, which is an example of the different famous paintings found in the world. However, there are also different styles of paintings that are included under the fine art of painting.

When I used to think of paintings, I'd immediately think of the classics such as the paintings of Michelangelo (the Sistine Chapel ceiling), Van Gogh (Starry Night and Almond Blossom), and Leonardo Da Vinci (Mona Lisa). These paintings are frequently seen in pop culture and are popular with the public. It helps with the appreciation of the fine arts.

Painting is an art where the artist is able to convey an idea or an emotion through the use of colors, the elements and principles of art, and resulting in a two-dimensional art piece. Through the normal use of brushes and paints, many are able to participate in the delicate and invigorating fine art medium, called painting.
