Starting this year has been an experience for me. I doubted this year being an important part of my life but it proved to be the year I’ve been the most free. At the beginning of this year I was mentally prepared to talk to barely anyone and just get this year over with. After finding my missing rib she showed me I was worth more than the worth I can ever see in myself. This both helped my school life and outside of school life making my view of this school year not as bad as it started.

The assignment I’m most proud of would have to be 2 one for my ap Spanish one and my first Padlet for this class. Starting with my Ap spanish one our teacher told us to write a love letter never have I been a fanatic if love or anything matter a fact I believe I’d never have it. My girlfriend yet again taught me otherwise writing that love letter about her was like there was more to say than any paper could hold. The words flowed through my head like if it wasn’t a thought but as if it was a heart beat like I was meant to love her. This ended up getting second place when the teacher gave it to the spanish honor society club to see. Then came this classes assignment my first ever packet the “coming of age story” this assignment helped me learn more about myself than I knew and helped me express my feelings for my girlfriend like a diary. Both assignments brought me back to her and ended up being my favorites ones.

I gave up on drawing when I was little when I found it too difficult for me and I figured I’d never draw again it was a school night I came home disappointed and mad at myself because of how I was underperforming at my practice and needed to let it out but I’ve never been one of just talking how I feel so I let it out through this honestly the quiet night made it better as I had no reason to make a sound and all I could hear is the sound my pencil would make as I drew. This inspired me to take breaks and not put to much pressure on myself honestly part of the process of me feeling like this 10th grade is the most free I will ever feel.

Write a brief review of a book read this year and include a quote

The book I remember well is the white elephant one the quote says “I’ll go with you and I’ll stay with you all the time. They just let the air in and then it’s all perfectly natural.” In the story I see it as a form as manipulation from the man but to me I would mean this with a sense of care cause that’s how I was raised. When it says let the air in I feel that as a person having a sense of relaxation which is part of being free

Reflecting on a personal/academic challenge and explain how I overcame it

A personal one would be my sport honestly very stressful knowing I started loving this game late compared to almost everyone else I wanted to be perfect. No flaws in the pitch and honestly the quick improvement between a few years gave me that confidence as soon as I started having slower progress and even getting worse I felt I lost it all. Eventually finding that free flowing style I see street footballers have inspired me and taught me that I didn’t have to be perfect but I had to be me. Started embracing my mistakes and kinda stopped comparing myself to the best of the best (sometimes still working on that ). This taught me more about myself since I was just so used to copying what I saw I started doing what I saw but the way I wanted to.

My hopes for junior year

Being honest my hopes are to just have a better time than I did here this 10th grade. I’ve moved homes and sadly I won’t be here for my junior year after spending my years since 6th grade at this school. A quote for my mindset of today is “There is no pressure when I’m making a dream come true”
