In the US we use a deck of 52 cards containing four suits; hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades. Each suit has three face cards - the Jack, Queen, and King.
The detailed illustrations on traditional face cards date back to Medieval European designs. Each design has rotational symmetry, meaning that the illustration is rotated 180° around a horizontal or diagonal line of symmetry.   • Note that the symmetry must be rotational, not reflective. The portraits should be facing in two different directions.
• Have many patterns and designs as part of the portrait.
• Use color.
• Be created in the style of a playing card:
  • A border with rounded corners
  • An interior border
  • A clear suit and value
