Professional learning networks are perfect for receiving feedback from other professionals! You can post your lesson plans in communities or circles which allows people to view them. Then they can give you feedback on the strong aspects of the plan, and what needs improvement.

News!

PLN's can allow you to keep up with current news in the education community. Within your PLN you can see posts made by people that you follow or people that are part of your circles. These posts can inform you about the current news, and events happening all around the world!

Professional learning networks not only allow you to communicate with your colleagues, but it also can allow you to communicate with your student's parents. Creating a group or circle that includes parents can allow you to communicate about homework, upcoming events, and the progress of their children. This can be done on a day to day basis, or simply just once a week.
